"Clay was very knowledgeable. He accommodated my tight schedule by coming in on a Saturday to do the work - I had tenants moving in the next day. The project was to repair/replace and clean the grout and caulk around a custom shower. When he found a serious structural issue due to a poorly executed patch job done by the previous owner, he recommended that I hire a shower installer to come assess the situation because of the potential for water leakage to the unit below. He had to stop work since the remedy may be to renovate the entire shower. He did not charge me anything for the time he had already spent. I appreciate that very much. I did follow his advice, hired a shower installer and am now re-doing the entire shower area to install the proper water proofing materials."

"They came in when we had to fire our other $&@$@? contractor. Their price was 1/5th of our first contractor and the finish work they did was flawless!! They are expert finish carpenters!! They worked from 8 am to 5:30pm and I never saw them stop for so much as a bathroom break! They cleaned up the job site so it was as if they were never there! The quality of work and price makes this company a no brained choice if your looking for master carpentry work and painting! I will be hiring them again!"

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

Professionals use various tools and cleaning solutions based on the type of floor they’re cleaning. They often use industrial steam cleaners to pull debris out of the carpet. For localized stains, they may use a commercial cleaner or a mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap. For tile, they’ll typically use dish soap and hot water, plus a mixture of baking soda and hot water for the grout. For cleaning wood floors, they might use a low-heat steamer, a mop with an oil wood floor cleaner, or a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and lemon juice.

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.

Regular cleaning, avoiding harsh chemicals, and periodic resealing extend its lifespan.

Suggesting regular dusting and spot cleaning to maintain freshness.
