Stonetastics® is a unique poured in place natural stone flooring system that is used over existing concrete. Designed for swimming pool decks, patios, walkways, and stairs, for indoor and outdoor applications. The product is poured in place, on site, at 1/2" to 5/8" thick. In 1980, after graduate school, I started working building and finishing furniture, I then worked for a home improvement company doing siding, storm windows and painting. I then apprenticed for 2 years with a third-generation painting and wallpaper contractor and when he retired in 1985 I started my painting and wallpapering contracting business while living in Ithaca New York- a town chock full of 19th and early twentieth homes, including my own vintage home built in 1878 which I restored inside and out. I moved my business to New Haven and Fairfield County, Connecticut in 1998, restoring many of the Elm City’s vintage homes. Today I am extending my business model to Nantucket, where my wife Kathy and I have been vacationing since the late 1990’s. In 2010 we purchased a small cottage in town that I have been renovating and redecorating. Over the years we have invested ourselves in the community, visiting year-round, and supporting the not-for-profit and for-profit businesses.

"The project went well for the most part. After a year and a half later we’re still waiting for the job to be completed. The edging around the pool is below expectations. But the main issue is the cap for the sump pump drain located in the middle of the concrete that needs to be finished. At the time, the part was out of stock. It was in stock the very next week and he was supposed to come back and finish. 1-1/2 years later, consistently telling us he will be out to finish, still refuses to address his commitment. We’ve waited a long time to ensure we gave a small business the benefit of the doubt regarding every excuse he has given us. Recently he has said that the cap is poured and it’s ready to be done, scheduled a date and that date came and went, again. At this point, it is appropriate to convey to others our experience. It’s been one heartache after another dealing with this company."
