"Gaby helped us remodel our kitchen. We wanted to keep our existing custom cabinets but modernize the appearance. Gaby transformed the look from a country style kitchen to a more modern, crisp design by: -extending the cabinets about 10” to the ceiling, and adding molding and trim work -replacing faux legs in our island and cooking area with clean edges -building custom decorative panels for the island and columns -removing a cabinet to make room for a beverage center -countless repairs and fixes Gaby also coordinated painting - both the cabinets and the ceiling/walls, and painted over 50 cabinet doors/drawers himself. The painting turned out absolutely beautiful and professional - as if the cabinets were white from the beginning. He also coordinated many of the other jobs, including recommending an electrician for us who was also very reliable and professional. In many ways, he acted like a GC for us in addition to a carpenter. Can’t say enough about Gaby. He is an outstanding, meticulous carpenter. He knows his stuff in and out. He is reliable, prompt, efficient, reasonable, and goes above and beyond to deliver amazing results. "I hired Bob to do repairs and renovation of a condo rental unit. He renovated the bathroom with new tiles, replacing bathroom rotten wood frame window with a vinyl frame, installing new light fixtures and repairing bathroom plumbing, repairing torn screens, as well as repainting interior walls and trim throughout the unit and installing new shades throughout. He also plastered water-damaged ceilings and cleaned and organized the basement storage area. On the exterior he replaced a rotted window frame and missing clapboards, then patched and painted the wall. Bob arrived early each day and worked diligently. Bob is a great problem solver and works with you to suggest ways to do repairs for the best outcome while keeping costs down. His work is high quality. I would definitely hire him again."

"If you want the short answer: we are super happy with the work. The more detailed answer: Each member of the company was professional. Mike made a point to be on site the first day.. He ensured we were comfortable and understood each step in the process as well as provided a timeline they would follow. The craftsmanship was beautiful. As a hobbyist carpenter/cabinetry maker I appreciated the fine lines and attention to detail our crew made. Their work was as clean as my own interior work and really makes the outside of our house nicer. They removed my old front porch which supports a modest roof, installed new footings, framed out and lagged ledgers to the house (which sounds normal but the original was not done this way when the house was built in 87), used all trex composite materials for decking and molded railings, and pvc wrapped all posts in 6x6. The new stairs they built are beautiful and as they made them to code they were able to add one more which will make it so much easier for my elderly father to visit (he hasn't visited due to the daunting front stairs). I can't say enough good things about Mike and his crew. I will admit that their pricing is not ultra competitive. I imagine they compensate their workers for the excellent craftsmanship... but they did come in about 10% higher than the average. I believe I got more than 10% better than the average craftsmanship though. I look forward to requesting more quotes and seeing if we can do more business for siding and an additional leisure deck in back. I hope with the price of materials coming back down to earth my next projects will be more competitive in pricing. We are super happy with the work and would highly recommend them."

"Bertie was recommended to us by a friend for some work that he completed in Jamaica Plain. We recently built a 2nd floor on our cape in Milton and needed walls and ceilings in three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a hallway and stairwell. Bertie was prompt with his bid and was extremely flexible with his start date. He was finished with the entire job in less than four days, which was incredibly impressive. In addition, part of the demolition included tearing down two walls on the first floor and a strip of drywall by the front door. Without asking, Bertie fixed those as well and included them in the price. Furthermore, we are installing a pocket door and need to wait for that before drywall goes up, plus our plumber needs access to the shower before the durock goes up, and Bertie has already committed to helping us with those issues as soon as they are ready. I would absolutely hire Bertie again in a second if the need ever arises again."
