"When I first met Edwin he was very polite. He promised to follow the explicit details of the project which were to match existing fence. He said he would start in two weeks. When he finally showed up it had been a month. He stayed for a few hours and went home sick after having brought a small amount of disgraceful materials. I mistakenly agreed to pay $300 for these in advance. The wood was cracked, some posts too large and the boards the wrong species. After being instructed not to use a specific post he did so anyway. Then proceeded to make the gate a foot shorter than fence. After he left I noticed the cross bars were pine which he argued and lied over until Angi got involved. To keep job he agreed to get cedar like the original fence. By then I had had enough manipulation and childishness. He insisted on finishing job and I did not want him to. So in fear he would, I had to keep and move the materials he lazily left. If I do not get my $300 back I am glad because the gentleman working for him was very kind and I don’t want Edwin having an excuse not to pay him. Edwin is dishonest, and immature. I do not recommend him! My parents recently passed away and I wanted the project done for my Mother at least by Father’s Day. I am disabled and my puppy who is helping me to survive is not safely contained in my front yard. The Summer is wasted because I cannot empty the garage and get my home ready for a future PCA. Edwin knows not what he did and didn’t do. Do not hire this person and God Bless!"

"I was in desperate need for someone to connect my gas dryer for me & remove the old gas dyer. I rang Rick & told him what I needed, I sent him an email confirming all my information & within minutes Rick had answered & confirmed what time he would be at my home. Rick was courteous, on time & knowledgeable. Will definitely hire again."

"John is great. He is very responsive by phone and text, and unfailing professional and kind. He arrived on time and completed his work when he said he would. In addition to installing our kitchen fronts, he actually took our drawers home and added some wood that would make the fronts easier to attach. He also pointed out issues with the fronts to me so that I could discuss possible fixes with the supplier, and stopped at the supplier the next day to pick up the new hinges I needed. He even took at look at a problem I was having with a bathroom cabinet door. I highly recommend John for your cabinetry and handyman needs."

"Arrived on time. Very friendly and detailed focused, made sure everything was done exactly how we liked it. Also pushed back on things which didn't make sense to prevent future damage. Only negative would be is that maybe they took a little too long on some tasks, meaning that we were charge more hours than maybe should have been. It was worth it for the quality though. Highly recommended!"

"A strip of vinyl siding at the top of the house was partially ripped off during a storm. Bobby re-attached it and repaired the split in a very professional way. It was in a difficult-to-access area and required a very tall ladder. Bobby returned my initial call very promptly and came to do the job as quickly as he could. I am a very satisfied customer."

Driveway Gates questions, answered by experts

Yes, many providers offer reinforced steel, fire-rated, and electronic access doors for businesses.

Electric gates can be forced open if someone applies enough force to the edge furthest from the mounting bracket. You can reduce this risk by adding an electric lock to your gate opener. However, automatic gate openers generally help deter intruders, especially when paired with outdoor lighting and security cameras. Other home security tips include trimming trees surrounding the area for added visibility and installing motion sensors in your yard.

Security doors are not limited to standard sizes, and you can customize them to fit your needs and entryway dimensions. That's one of the fantastic things about security doors—they can be tailored to match your home. Keep in mind that a custom-sized security door will likely cost more than a standard size.

To make your gate safe, purchase a gate made from strong material such as wrought iron, stainless steel, or other metals. Ensure that the gate has strong joints and bars that are welded on rather than inserted loosely. If you’re concerned about people climbing over your gate, you can deter them by installing fence spikes along the top as an extra precaution.

For homeowners concerned about security, an electric gate may offer peace of mind. Electric gates will require a code or remote to open, so you don’t have to worry about young children getting out of the yard or someone breaking onto your property by simply swinging open the gate. But because it needs power to operate, installing an electric gate will be more complex and expensive.
