"The team from McLaughlin Weatherization, who completed the work from my Mass Save Program energy audit to install insulation in my attic was AWESOME! They were a team of 3, who ensured the job got done efficiently and well. Professional, courteous and personable! I was very pleased with how they entered my home, treated my home and me while in it and when they left they even brushed up the very last of any dirt they might have brought in. I cannot rave enough about how great the experience was because I was able to work downstairs and stay out of their way but they definitely went above and beyond in my opinion! I didn't know the front door would get a package of weather stripping too. So while that was nice, the guy in charge of the team of 3 not only removed the old to install the new, the front door closes properly now! I cannot thank you enough for this small act of kindness (even if it was fixed with the new trim) because I had been so worried about my kitties getting out one day because the latch would not catch to keep the door closed. Also, the senior member leading the team demonstrated his years of experience and knowledge and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this company as a partner for Mass Save and I would personally pay them for any future work needed if not covered by Mass Save."

Tom made a site visit to my home to discuss details of the insulation including the process, timing, and outcomes; he answered all of my questions. "I was plagued with recurring ice dams in a few areas of my roof. After investigation, it was discovered that the insulation in a few visible areas was sub-par. Roland came in and quickly spotted the problem areas. He assured me that the could fix these problems immediately. He used a combination of rearranging existing batts, blown-in fiberglass and spray foam to seal the attic space, over the course of two visits. He's extremely personable and always called me back or answered the phone right away."

I liked the fact that he had a lot of Angie's experience and recommendations. A date was made for doing the work and his men were right on time. There was a day of prep and a day of removal. We started by trying to find a contractor that could fix our gutters. We needed it to be done very quickly so I had called several people with no luck. Then I found United. Alessandro was amazing and his team is amazing -- especially Jackie. They are always very responsive, professional, dependable and of course their work is top notch/very high quality. They not only did our gutters when I needed them done, but also we went back to them to replace our sump pump, paint inside of most of our house, change the kitchen countertops and backsplash etc.. Alessandro also helped me find other specialists when needed such as shower door installers.. I am very happy that I found them and I will for sure go back to them again.

They were busy with another another job 25 miles away, but went out of their way to diagnose the problem the following evening. Usually I would perform the work, but was out of state on business.

"We hired Matt to completely finish our once old and scary unfinished basement, something we had talked about doing for years but never thought possible given the age of the house (late 1800s) and unique challenges (dampness, field stone foundation, uneven concrete floor). The scope of work included adding a bathroom with shower, designing a family room including fireplace accent, creating a laundry area and storage areas, with built ins throughout. We have had a great experience with Matt. He has creative ideas on how to approach projects and is a perfectionist, which shows in his work. He has a great sense of design and will take the time to discuss recommendations and pros and cons of doing something a certain way. We have appreciated in particular Matt’s responsiveness. He is quick to respond by phone or text, even late in the evening and weekends. When we had a random issue with our HVAC system during a hot summer spell (completely unrelated to Matt’s work) and were not able to get home to find the problem, Matt went to our house in the evening to look at it. He even stopped at the Home Depot to buy a tool he needed to diagnose the issue. We were blown away that Matt went out of his way to do this, knowing it took him away from his family. There have been several times that Matt has gone above and beyond in this way. Matt also works with a top notch team of specialist sub-contractors (plumbers, electricians) who have done excellent work in line with the overall project. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matt and are looking forward to working with him again!"
