Our home is historic with old plumbing and he kept us informed of our options to unclog the drains and used several methods to get them working, without damaging the existing pipes. He is very knowledgeable about plumbing and materials used in the 1930's and before, and took that into consideration before performing any work. One sink drain just would not clear, so he scheduled us for a second visit, giving us time to clear out a closet, and carefully measured and cut through a small section of closet wall to get at the piping. After clearing the clog, he replaced and updated a section of piping, and was very helpful about how he thought it best to repair the wall. My husband did some minor carpentry, and both our sinks are clearing better than they have been in many years. I would definitely use Provost Plumbing and Russ for all our other plumbing jobs. He took his time explaining to me in colloquial terminology what was happening, not only with the intended project, but a few other things going on in our old house. He then went about working diligently replacing the drain and faucets in our tub. The work took a day and he charged far less then another quote we got from another plumber. Rob had to cut through a very thick and tough tile and cement wall to access the drain. Once the plumbing was installed, he then covered the hole with a plate which turned out to be a good option for the tub aesthetically."
