He was on time . He told me it was a big job, but turns out it was not. I ended up paying only $90. He was efficient, his business is family owned. He was very clean and when he left everything was spotless.

My wife call Jake, he came out looked at what needed to be done. He contacted the town water and sewage department and found out exactly what was needed. He pulled the permit, ordered the meter and called to let us know when it should be in. Once it arrived he called again and we firmed up the date for the install. Meter was installed, town inspected and everything worked just fine. Very professional and polite. I would highly recommend this gentleman and certainly will use his services again.

Jake answered the phone when I called the first time, he came out to assess what was needed, he provided the estimate, and then proceeded to do the work - all the same day! He replaced our 15 yr old water heater, including a new pressure expansion tank, piping, fittings and valves. The price was very fair and the work was very good. Jake was friendly, informative, and professional, we will use him again for future work.

Jake was responsive and showed up on time. He recommended a solution that would ensure that our A/C condensation pipes do not corrode quickly. He repaired the pipes that had corroded and also repaired the plastic vapor barrier that was cut when the repairs started. He even cleaned up the broken ceiling tiles. We will use Jake/Peterson Plumbing to repair a few leaky faucets and we highly recommend using Jake at Peterson Plumbing.

We purchased to of the big deal coupons for toilet installation to replace low toilets with comfort height ones. Scheduling was easy- Jake was available to come in the evening, and gave us several options for which day would work best for us. He arrived on time and installed both toilets quickly and cleanly. He also reviewed some other changes we were considering, and told us which were practical and which would require more extensive work. We made arrangements to hire him again to install a disposal and he gave us very clear directions on what we needed for the job. Very happy with the service and will hire again.

This is my 3rd service call completed by Peterson Plumbing. The bearings on my disposer were going, making a nasty noise.
I bought a replacement unit and had Paterson replace it. the job was done properly and promptly and for a price that makes doing it yourself a thing of the past. He cleaned up and left the place the way he found it.
Thus another job by Peterson was completed.

I used the Snapfix feature to match me up with a local plumber that could relocate an outside spigot for us as we are having a deck installed. I worked with Jake and he was very responsive via the Snapfix chat function. He showed up on time and was able to complete the work very efficiently. While here he also pointed out some issues with some nearby plumbing and suggested I call the original installer to get it corrected. I would definitely use him again.

Jake was as good as advertised. We had been having a lot of trouble with a leaking toilet. We had replaced the wax ring several times (it was a new toilet!) but it kept leaking. Jake came out on one day's notice and spent a few hours dealing with our old bathroom. The flange that was in there was too narrow so Jake was able to cut it out and install a new one as well as offer some advice on what we should do when we remodel. He said that it was possible that the leak could continue because the piping was not installed as it should have been. Unfortunately a few hours later our leak returned. Jake was prompt in answering text messages and offered to come back and fix the piping. I asked if it was possible that the toilet could be leaking and he said that it is possible but it can be hard to tell. He said if it was possible to return the toilet, he would do that in order to take the toilet out of the equation. We were able to bring the toilet back and get a replacement, and sure enough, our leak has stopped! Jake was friendly, courteous and very reasonably priced. I will be recommending him to all of my friends.

BUYER BEWARE!
I own a top floor unit in a condominium building. My tenants reported that the tub had been extremely slow in draining and the tub was filling up during showers to the point they were putting Drano down the drain every 2 weeks. This prompted me to look on Angie's List for someone to perform a drain cleaning.
My idea of a drain cleaning (as well as everyone I have questioned since) is to run some type of tool or equipment to de-clog the drain and then, if deemed necessary, to put a cleaner down to clear any residual from the drain.
Because Peterson Plumbing never called me directly to discuss my exact needs or concerns I am writing this review post-service and after several messages back and forth with Jake now that I know exactly what was and was not done.
My tenant informed me after Jake left that he "Poured an industrial-strength Drano down the drain and left. He was here for a few minutes."
I did not receive a completion confirmation or report from Jake and had to reach out to him the next morning to find out how it went.
I feel that for $125.00 I should have gotten more than that for my money.
Jake disagrees and after pressing him for what he did and what he found he replied that, in addition to the fact that the tub needs a screen (which I will purchase and install within days), "Your tenants could not use industrial strength cleaner because it is sold to licensed plumbers only. This cleaner was used first because the clog was in a multi unit building. If it did not work I would have used a large snake on the drain. Snakes in a tub drain can cause the trap to come apart and cause a larger problem- one that would impact the resident below. Either way the cost to the owner does not change. You did pay for a drain cleaning and you received a drain cleaning."
Two weeks later (to see if what was done did in fact clear the drain) when the drain was still stopping up I contacted Peterson Plumbing again and again I was met with unprofessionalism, dismissal, and a refusal to make it right. Instead, this is the response I received: "It was clear that you were not happy with the method I used to clean your drain from day one. If that drain was slow on day 1, 2, 3, or 4, you would've contacted me immediately with or without the screen. When you contacted me yesterday, 10 days after my visit, you didn't even say the drain was slow. You said your handyman saw water in the trap. I am not going to give you a refund and I will not be revisiting your apartment."

Response from Peterson Plumbing
"This customer threatened a negative review from day one, and here it is. I followed proper protocol in clearing a clogged drain in a muli unit apartment building and spent a long time explaing plumbing,, my methods, and how a slow drain is treated differently in multi unit building than a single family household. This customer abandoned a condo and left the state only to allow college students occupy the space with no screen in the tub drain. She threatened a negative review from the day she decided that more should have been done for her money, although I did clear her drain as promised- that was not enough."

Jake was great! He responded to my email within an hour & was here the next day to figure out the problem! He explained what the problem was & what the next steps are if it happens again. We will definitely be using him in the future for our plumbing needs!

I can't say enough good things about Jake. He is honest, very professional, and very fair with his price. The work he did was exceptional, and that is coming from my husband, the plumber. We did check our neighbors' plumbing work for their meter work and there was no way we were going to have their plumbers in our home. Much of their work was below our standards. If we were in need of a plumber again, we would absolutely have Jake again. He is the BEST!
