"Mr. Phalan took care of a tricky repair to an old style solid wood exterior door on a 2nd floor deck. The door was quite heavy and had several glass panels in it, too. Bob quickly rebuilt the busted hinge and had the old door working “better than new”, in about 30 minutes. Quick and clean job!"

"Ari has gone above and beyond making my upstairs bathroom into my dream bathroom! My bathroom before was a small narrow half bath that he made into a beautiful bathroom with a new shower and built in shelves! He is a hard worker and easy to work with in every way! I highly recommend him for any job. He also installed my living room bay window and did it in a day and a half. Can’t say enough good things about this company! Hire him!"

"Hired these guys to come put in a new flooring for my kitchen. They did a fantastic job, such attention to detail. I’ve already called them back for a few more projects. The amount of care and attention to detail is like no other company I have ever hired. 10 out of 10 recommend."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

Window screens can take anywhere between 10 minutes and an hour to replace, depending on the complexity of the replacement and the accessibility of the window. Replacing the screen inside an existing frame normally takes longer than replacing an entire screen, frame and all, if you purchase a prefabricated screen already mounted on the frame.

The average cost to screen-in your patio ranges from $2,000 to $4,000. How much you spend depends on the size of your patio, the materials used, and construction complexity. Some patio screen room kits are easy to DIY, but you may need to hire a local screened-in porch builder and obtain permits for more complex designs.

There are many ways to customize screens, including customizing frame colors and mesh styles to complement your home’s aesthetic.

Window screens can help keep some heat out of your home, which is one benefit of using them in summer. It’s also the reason experts suggest removing your screens in winter—so it’s easier for the sun’s warmth to filter into your home. This will keep you cozier and potentially reduce your heating bills.

There are different types of screen materials available when purchasing a screen door, but the two main options are fiberglass and aluminum. Fiberglass is lightweight and affordable, but can stretch out, so it needs to be replaced more often. Aluminum has a higher upfront cost, but is more sturdy. Aluminum can be more difficult to install, even if you know how to replace screen door mesh.
