"It went well! I expected it to take a long time to get it picked up, but I called for the bag to be emptied on Friday and they were here Saturday! I am already filling it up again. (We have a MESS from the storm and need to finish the kitchen before this weekend's company coming in from out of town.) "Pacific Stone did a nice job. Person in charge of scheduling measurements and installation was pleasant and courteous. Within a few days of my inquiry they came out to my house to take measurements and they brought samples to choose from. Installation was done within a few weeks after that. Took away the old countertops and sinks. They know what they're doing. One of the installers was actually the owner and they were prompt and professional and cleaned up well."

"We hesitate to write this review on Angie's List, not because we had a bad experience, but because we had such an overwhelmingly positive one, we want to keep NE Renovations all to ourselves. We've been working with Richard and his crew for the last couple of months on an extensive home renovation project. We first met Richard during the negotiation of our home purchase. After an inspection that pointed out a lot of problems with the house we wanted to buy, we felt we needed some expert guidance to inform us of what we were getting into before committing to such a large investment. We found NE Renovations on Angie's list, called to schedule a consultation and met with them all in the same day! When we showed up at the agreed time, we were shocked to see that Richard and his crew had showed up EARLY and were already scoping the place out. Richard brought with him the necessary people to determine the work needed in the areas we had specific questions about. We handed Richard a copy of our inspection report and with that and his own viewing of the property was able to come up with some numbers that would inform our decision the next day. We went into our home purchase feeling excited and much more comfortable knowing that we had NE Renovations lined up to help us turn it into our dream house. 

First on our list of home improvements were upgrades to the electrical and plumbing, as well as figuring out a solution to the keeping water out of the basement. Richard was extremely patient with us as we asked him to explain our options, particularly with the solution to the water in the basement. Trying to decide between a very expensive French Drain and two less expensive sump-pumps to code (to replace the jimmy-rigged one that already existed), Richard jumped on a conference call with us while we were traveling to help guide us to a decision. Richard could have easily swayed us to spend the big money on the French Drain system, but instead he told us what he would do if it were his house and made us feel confident that the sump-pumps (properly installed) would be enough. Richard won our trust as we negotiated the contract for Phase I of our renovations and he and his crew won our confidence as we saw them start on the project. Having gone through a gut renovation before, and having had a terrible experience with contractors, we were ready for a barrage of problems. What we experienced was the absolute opposite: Richard not only just took care of any issues as they came up, but he sent picture texts of progress and updates on any issues he had already resolved. One specific example of this would be regarding the sump pump installation. In digging into the ground Richard realized that the water table was higher than we expected and a larger sump-pump would really be a better option. Rather than call us at work to present the problem and make us decide on the upgrade and higher cost, Richard just made the call that the larger pump was a better idea, didn't charge us for the upgrade and sent a text letting us know what he had decided. At that point, we knew we had really found a gem. Based on our initial experiences with NE Renovations during Phase I of our home renovation, we decided to contract them to take on every aspect of our project: a new bathroom, kitchen, lighting, closets, flooring and so much more. 

We highly recommend Richard Froais and NE Renovations not only because of the quality of their work, but because he and his crew are punctual, hardworking, friendly, polite, thoughtful and very reasonably priced. We worked closely with Richard, Bill and Anthony, and have been extremely impressed with all of them. Bill is a machine and a true craftsman. His work is impeccable and you can count on him to give you outstanding finish work, carpentry work and a constant positive attitude. Anthony is extremely patient, meticulous and tidy. He always has customer satisfaction in mind and proactively offers solutions that, due to his experience, he knows will turn out great. Both Bill and Anthony's attention to detail has been a real blessing to our home renovation. They don't just show up and rush through the work so that they can move on to the next job; they are craftsman who take pride in their work and make sure the job is done not just to code, but to the customer's satisfaction. Oh, and they clean up after themselves! This has been a first in our experience. 

Richard, as the general contractor, has been our main contact throughout this entire project. There are many wonderful things about Richard, but the thing that stands out the most is that he put us (two people that work as project managers) at ease throughout this entire project for the sole reason that we felt we were able to trust him and knew that when he said something would be taken care of, it would be. We have turned to Richard for guidance in all of decision making and have been extremely happy with all of our renovation decisions. We've been very pleased by how Richard and his team offer suggestions and solutions that not only result in a better outcome for our renovation project, but have saved us money. Again, a first! We've never met a contractor who actually had our best interests at heart. In addition to the serious side of general contracting, Richard's sparkling personality, humorous anecdotes, playful nature, thoughtfulness and consideration have been a bonus we never would have expected going into this project. From offering to watch our dog while we traveled, to leaving eggs from his farm in our refrigerator, to pulling out all the stops, including recruiting his wife, Connie, to help with final touches and cleaning to get us into our house on time, Richard and NE Renovations have not only healed the deep wounds inflicted by terrible experiences with general contractors and home renovations in the past, but has inspired us to keep going....as soon as we can afford it! :)
