"Bob inspected the window frames and provided a few solutions I hadn’t considered. Same for interior doors no longer hanging properly. Although I typically prefer paying by the job instead of by the hour, Bob was quite focused on his work and use of time. I will be asking him to return in the spring to complete a few additional repairs and install a storm door."

"The house is from 1890 and John did a very nice job framing and the door and making it weather tight. Nice job on the flashing and painting. It was more complicated than planned and took two days. He left the work sight in good order overnight until he finished the job. e are very happy with the result."

No, cellar doors are not all the same size, although they are standardized. Typical sizes are 4 feet or 6 feet wide. Barn doors do not always require a bottom track, especially if a high-quality top track is used to stabilize the door. However, a bottom track is often recommended to ensure the door operates smoothly, prevent it from scratching the floor, and keep it from pushing inward or outward, which could cause damage. A bottom track also keeps the door more secure and properly anchored. In some cases, an interior barn door can hang solely from a top track without a bottom guide. If you do install a bottom track, it should be placed six to eight inches from the floor and be at least twice as wide as the door.
