He was pretty much in the middle of the ballpark with price, but I got the feeling from him that he would do whatever it took to make the job come out right, and he did. The first day they completely demolished the old driveway and patio and got rid of all the debris. Then, it rained for a week. They came and worked whenever the rain permitted them to. They still got done in a timely manor in spite of the rain. John had his crew do a few extra things for me during the job so that everything would be perfect. The results are terrific. We love our new driveway, patio and porch. I would recommend NY Paving and Masonry. "

"Masonworks recently took my small city patio from a mess of tree roots and uneven bricks to a smooth, sleek bluestone with a low fieldstone raised planting bed. They did beautiful work and were customer service-oriented throughout. "I contacted John's and received a quote via email from Toni, and felt the price was reasonable. While they have a year-round maintenance package (which would translate to a discount), I opted for a la carte services. They came out and raked out the shrub beds, dethatched the lawn, and picked up most of the bits of trash that were around the yard. Unfortunately, the de-thatching machine tore up some of the grass, down to the soil (it was admittedly thin coverage), and they missed some bits of trash (plastic grocery bags hanging in the shrubs), but overall it was well done. They sent a rep out to look at the mulching job to be done, and the job was done fine. There were some spots where there were weeds poking out through the mulch, but, overall, pretty good. I hired them to do weekly lawn mowing, and they've been out twice, and the grass looks good, though I do wish that they'd grab the bits of trash that accumulate in the yard. All-in-all, a solid lawn care company, and I'm happy to have them. The approximate cost of service above reflects the spring cleanup and mulch; the lawn mowing is done weekly for $45.
