We live on a private road and one side of our street has many big pot holes. Our neighbors and we finally got half of our street re-paved by Primo Paving and it looks amazing! We would highly recommend Primo Paving. The owner Joe and his crew showed up on time at 7pm as promised and the work was done before noon. Their price was very reasonable and Joe was professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. Our neighbors and we hired Primo Paving again to coat seal our driveways after seeing their wonderful work!

Joe was very easy to get in contact. Himself and his crew showed up on time and worked neatly. His equipment was state of the art and I could tell he takes pride in his work. Not only that Joe is a class act and did my 91 year old grandfathers 10 car driveway. My grandfather was very pleased with the service.

called and Joe answered. very pleasant and told me to contact ;the other' line to leave a message for an estimate. i did it immediately. i called 5 days later , left a message to confirm they had gotten my message. i called again and spoke to Joe and he told me they'd get back to me the next day. i am NOT giving poor grade for bad work, as i have no way to judge it and not interested in spending more time hunting down someone i am literally looking to give work/money. sadly they have a poor process for potential customers

We have worked with Joe at Primo Paving on three separate projects and are planning on having them come back in the spring for a fourth! Joe and his team are personable, responsive, reliable, and they do great work. We are looking forward to working with them again and I can't recommend this business enough!

Primo was really easy to work with. I received a quote for the work from them in 2014, and with one thing and another we didn't have the work done at that time. When I contacted them in early 2018, they honored the previous quote price. Since it was early in the season, they were able to fit us in fairly quickly. They did a great job on the road and it still looks great.

The owner Joe, seal coated our double driveway personally. Joe had completely excavated our previous driveway and replaced it with an expanded new one. He was on time for the date that we had scheduled. He used the highest quality sealer, known as Liquid Gold. Joe was meticulous in the application of the sealer and made sure the job was neat and clean upon completion. The end result was a professional driveway in both function and appearance. Primo Paving Inc. has our highest recommendation.

Joe Deprimeo, the owner, worked side by side with his crew from excavating the old driveway to raking the hot fresh asphalt. Everyone, especially Joe, was enthusiastic and professional. Throughout the job, which was inherently messy, the team managed to keep the surrounding area clean and safe. Joe voluntarily had his crew replace nearly 20 feet of the adjacent crumbling asphalt sidewalk at no charge, taking pains not to harm the large tree roots that passed underneath. I daresay a low-slung race car can now use the driveway without bottoming out. No one could have done a better job.

Absolutely unbelievable! I called and Joe was at my home in 20 minutes. Not only did he give me a quote he fully discussed the quality of the product to be applied and how it would be applied. A true professional.

Joe was great - extremely responsive and made an extra effort to take care of the work in the timeframe I requested. He fit me in before the weather turned too cold, and when a rain storm affected the work before it had a chance to dry, he committed to come back in the spring and improve it for no additional cost. Very customer focused!!

Joe Primo is the owner and with his crew did an excellent job. He was on site during the entire replacement, to operate machinery as well as to give direction. His pricing is most competitive and the quality of the new driveway is second to none. Joe took the time to explain that his company uses only original materials, not recycled fillers. He was quite thorough when he informed me about the particular process involved to replace the old driveway. He and his crew arrived on time and were most professional. They take pride in what they do and their results prove it. Joe and Primo Paving have my highest recommendation.

Great Job all around. Called Primo, Joe the owner called back quickly. He was able to fit me in to his busy schedule. Very professional, honest and well worth the money. When they arrived to do the work, I was impressed by the clean condition of his equipment and his crew were personable and knowledgeable. Driveway looks fabulous and have gotten compliments from neighbors. Would hire again.

Asked for a quote to pave my driveway and redo my patio and walkways. Woman came out, took some measurements. I didn't hear anything for a week so I called and asked for my quote. Never heard back and that was two weeks ago. So Primo is not "primo" with me.

I hired Primo Paving in the city of Somerville, MA and was immediately impressed with his quick and rapid reply to my request for an estimate. He came to see the project, answered all of my questions and gave me a written estimate on the spot. The price was very reasonable and fair for the amount of driveway and work I wanted to get done, and for the quality, and expertise he brings to table. You can tell Joe has been doing this for 30+ years because he was knowledgeable about the subject. Everything from retaining walls, excavation, paving, seal-coating and more, Joe was able to make me feel comfortable that I was talking and doing business with an expert. I was very grateful Joe took the job and his prompt work ethic led me to having my driveway 100% done in less than a week and a half, from the initial communications to the complete, final job. Joe has deserved this positive review, and by far, is the most professional contractor you will ever meet, his thoroughness for the job is unmatchable and the quick turnaround to completing the job is like no other. In no other world, especially not a city like Somerville, could you get a job 100% complete so quick, and with such great quality for such a reasonable. I again am very impressed with his work, will definitely recommend him to my dad who also lives in Somerville and all of my friends. Finally, but not least, he is trustworthy. When he says, he will be there, guess what, he will be there. I have never had a contractor be on time like Joe. Honest, Trustworthy are two qualities that are a must when deciding to hire someone for a job that means a lot to you, and Joe from Primo Paving, is the best…period!

Good interaction, good estimate; we just had another provider who we chose instead for reasons hard to define. A tough choice between two good options.

The entire process was a pleasure. I called Joe on a Saturday and he came over the same day. He assessed the job and told me that I didn't need to replace the entire driveway but should repair it instead since most of it was still in very good condition. The other vendors who looked at it just wanted to do the whole thing. The real problem was that the dry well was collapsing and there were dangerous gaps around the cover but he was confident in his ability to fix it. No other company was reassuring about this. He explained how it would look ( as compared to a replacement) so my expectations would not be unreasonable. He came when promised and there were no issues. He fixed some cracks, filled in the hole where a basketball hoop had been and also sealcoated the driveway. It looks great. Thanks He is definitely not inexpensive but it was well worth it. And he is a nice guy too! I recommend him highly and without reservation.

Primo did a great job. I got 3 estimates and his was the best. He came when he said he was coming. The final bill was exactly what the estimate was.

Quick an excellent. We had to block the patched area for about 6 to 8 hours.

I think I am a tough grader and every aspect of working with Joe, his team and his results were A+. He focused on the quality of the job spending more than a generous amount of time explaining the process and how he would do the work. His personality is outstanding, very responsive and he made the experience fun. You can't ask for nicer people, they are truly professional and while my job wasn't big compared to the scope of his business Joe made me feel like I was the most important customer he ever had. Don't be fooled by the low quote, rush in, rush out shoddy material people, they can't come close to first class contractors like Joe. If you want the best call him you won't be disappointed, you will be happy and ultimately save money in the long run! For the record I never knew Joe before this job, I found him here on Angies List.

Best we know, this driveway may have gone back to the 1920's. Needless to say it was a mess, and it was doubly challenging because there were three large tree stumps that had to come out and a chain-link fence that had to come down. Did I mention that removing the stumps was bound to upset our neighbor's lawn? While they were very supportive, I think they were rightly concerned about how it would look when it was over. We got the chain link (but not the posts) down ourselves, and we were talking with various tree-stump and fence and driveway vendors, when finally Joe said he could handle the stumps, posts and driveway all for one price. I only wish I could have been here to see the magic, and wish even more I'd taken a "before" photo, but when it was done you would *never have guessed anything happened* to our neighbor's yard, nor ours, except for the gorgeous new driveway. Of course with this sort of work, only time will tell about how it holds up, but I couldn't be happier about how professional and can-do Joe and his team were, and how easy they made this for us.

I called and Joe answered and asked me to call back and leave my info. He promised they would call to arrange an estimate within the week. He never called even after I called a second time and left a reminder message. Very frustrating.

Like many other reviewers, I left a message and got no response. After 3 weeks, I moved on. Can't waste my time on them.
