"Duran removed my old gas fireplace, ran a new 6-inch insulated liner down the chimney, (which was not easy, the flue needed to be opened up a bit in certain spots). He rebuilt and repointed my upper chimney, waterproofed it, and installed an amazing new wood burning fireplace, that we are loving! He came out to the house, estimated the job for free. His price was thousands less than the competitors (others charged $250 just to come out and estimate) Duran was professional, honest, clean, hardworking and affordable. I have seen multiple contractors doing the similar projects or even smaller than ours at my friendâ  s house and taking weeks to complete the job, in addition damaging good chunk of the lawn and sometimes even damaging sprinkler/s. However, in the case of MJ masonry, they were very gentle with the lawn and the sprinklers. They cleaned up everyday before they leave and thorough cleaning after the job done. "Perfect! The removal of the pre-existing concrete patio took and entire day of hard work with some heavy equipment and lots of muscle. Once the old concrete was removed and disposed of, the site was excavated to prepare the underlying base of crushed stone and sand for the pavers. The paver installation went well, but required last minute cutting into small pieces to fit some difficult spots (around the cellar hatchway). Everything looks beautiful compared to the older poured concrete. We're totally satisfied with the project and the team who did the work!"
