"I hired them to fix loose tapes of over 50 year old garage drywall ceiling with popcorn surfaces. Eventually they did the walls for same price as the job was easy and quick. The only downside is that they left white spots on floor. They did put down the tarp but some spots were missed and got sprayed on floor. They were easily washed up as it was water based paint. Now the job s done and it looks so brand new!! I d hire them again but remind them about floor covers."

"The drywall hangers were prompt. I was only dissatisfied with clean up. I had to clean up after they left.
For the taping work, I believe they did a good job on the three coats, but some taping I ended up doing myself where I felt it was needed and had been left undone.
The repair of the can light areas was not as good as I was hoping as when the shadow hits the areas I can tell there the seams are

It is more difficult to drywall a ceiling than it is to drywall a wall, but not so hard that DIYers can’t tackle it. One of the main issues with hanging drywall on your ceiling is getting it into place. On the plus side, putting drywall over drywall can improve soundproofing and insulation. Plus, it’s often less expensive than tearing down and adding new drywall.

If your premixed drywall mud is dried out or has begun to set in the bucket, you may be able to revive it by adding warm water and stirring. However, the first and most important step is to scrape off any hard, dried bits of drywall that may have accumulated toward the top of the container and throw them away because they will not easily reconstitute back into the drywall mud mix.

Some textures are easier than others to DIY, but the short answer is yes, you can absolutely texture walls yourself. You’ll need certain materials, like a trowel or paint sprayer, but the most important things you’ll need are patience and time.
