FIRST RATE SERVICE at a DISCOUNTED PRICE - that is our objective. To keep our costs low and maintain quality control our company is small. To this end whenever we can we avoid using licensed contractors. We provide a good range of electrical, plumbing and handyman work. See more details about this in the box below entitled "Services Offered". Of course you are concerned about the quality of our workmanship and this is one of the reasons why we are here in Angie's List. We are also however one of the very few contractors who advertise on EBAY. Find us by searching for "New England Contracting" and most importantly look at our feedback rating there from customers just like yourself who independently left their feedback based on the work we did for them.

Delaney Restoration is a full service residential contracting business. Our goal as a business is to supply a service that we can be proud of and build something that will last. One of the ways we do this is by using the same subcontractors to ensure reliablity and a consistant product. Working together as a team also allows us to give our best work at a reasonable price. Our philosophy as a business is to be of service and build trusting relationships with clients, rather than trying to get your business and just move on to the next job. We believe in full transparency and helping the client make the best well informed decision about what work needs to be done and how we came to that conclusion. Most of our work is repeat business or referrals from existing clients and there is no job too small for us. We know that it's the small things that make our everyday life a little easier and by giving our attention to your "to do" list of projects we can gain your trust to be the one you want to call when something needs to be fixed or when you have made the decision to do a major renovation to a kitchen or bathroom. We take pride in knowing that we have built a relationship based on doing what we said we were going to do, when we were going to do it and for the price agreed upon. We also know that doing any project big or small can be very stressful. Being clean, professional and respectful of your space is always on our mind and we have never been asked to improve in any of these areas. This is the profession we have chose and we love to do it!

"From the first phone call to the final walkthrough was a pleasant, professional and enjoyable experience. I have a background in project management so planning, organization and communication are critical skills. Jon demonstrated each of those consistently and exceptionally. Part of my bathroom remodel project included installation of an overhead light/exhaust fan/heater. During the prep process, he uncovered issues with the existing duct work in place for the current light/exhaust fan. He alerted me to the problem showed me where it was, answered all of my questions clearly and articulately and allowed me time to think (which I didn't need - the solution was a no brainer). Although a change order was required and a little bit more money to do that part of the job, he saved me from encountering a serious mold issue. The end result was a bathroom remodel that I loved and workmanship that I trusted without any buyer's remorse."

FAQs for window service projects in Boston, MA

If you have a problem with your window, such as broken glass, minor leaks, or a problem with your window being stuck, repairing the broken part might be a cheaper option than replacing the entire window. However, if you have a deteriorating window frame or major leaks, buying a new window will be the better long-term solution.

Window replacement can become costly, especially if you’re replacing your whole home. There are a few steps you can take to help save money on the bottom cost while still giving your windows a facelift.

  • Replace multiple windows at once to bundle your purchase

  • Inquire about discounts, coupons, or special offers

  • Consider window repair as soon as you see damage to help prevent the need for replacement

  • Maintain your windows often by inspecting your windows for drafts, leaks, and cracks

There are certain window repairs that are cost-effective to DIY and relatively simple for homeowners to tackle themselves. Tasks like replacing a screen, replacing a lock, or sealing a window are typically under $30 and take minimal time to do yourself. However, if you need to replace your window or repair a broken double pane, it’s best to call in a professional window replacement installer to lend a hand. Replacing the majority or all of the windows in your home is a time consuming job and best left to a professional.

Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.

The time it takes to replace a window is a total of four to 15 weeks. This time includes your initial consultation, appointments for measuring, as well as ordering and manufacturing your windows. For a smaller job, you can expect the total timeline to be on the shorter end, but for a whole house window replacement, it might take longer (or be split into multiple install appointments). Once your windows are created and ready to be installed, your window installer will take 30 to 60 minutes per window to install.
