In addition, part of the demolition included tearing down two walls on the first floor and a strip of drywall by the front door. Without asking, Bertie fixed those as well and included them in the price. Furthermore, we are installing a pocket door and need to wait for that before drywall goes up, plus our plumber needs access to the shower before the durock goes up, and Bertie has already committed to helping us with those issues as soon as they are ready. The work included power washing and staining the clapboard southern front and eastern side of the house, as well as painting the house cellular PVC trim and the new front door surround on the southern exposure of the house.
