"I had an old light fixture removed that did not have a backbox & cover plate to house the wires correctly and a bedroom ceiling fan that mysteriously stopped working. I read a number of Angie's list reviews and felt that VMA Electric seemed like straight shooters, fully transparent and would be able to solve my issues efficiently. (I knew this job would be T&M rather than pre-quoted as it's impossible to say how long something like this would take). But Nancy in the office was wonderful to work with scheduling the work and she gave me the hourly rates ahead of time so I knew what I was going into. I was fortunate with my timing as they just had a cancellation - so they were onsite the very next morning. They solved both of my issues efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process extremely wonderful. If you're reading this saying "I just need an electrician or two to come by and fix a couple of lingering items that I've had on my checklist for awhile" - you've found your company. The invoice/bill for the work was emailed to me the following day and it was exactly in line with expectations (a lot of reviewers are cautious about seeing an invoice after the fact). The pricing was exactly in line with the rates previously given and it was itemized with materials, etc. Anybody would be very happy with this group."

"The sheer scope of our project demanded extensive coordination between several different contractors and designers - something that has caused no end of headaches in the past. Under the guidance of Hagit, Brian, Mark, and the whole Kitchen Center team, however, our experience could not have gone more smoothly. Our remodel began with discussing design ideas with Hagit and Brian. After providing only a rough idea of what we wanted, they returned to us with designs that went above and beyond what we had envisioned - their experience and expertise were evident right off the bat. Like other reviewers have mentioned, their design included pegboard drawers, spice drawers, and an excellent and versatile arrangement of cabinets - though the highlight for me, personally, was the dead corner organizer. Their design really made optimal use of the space we had available. Hagit responded to our questions and comments promptly and with great insight, and the whole team proved very easy to work with. From that point on, it was largely a hands off experience on our part. We picked out some cabinet colors and designs, as well as the appliances and counter-tops (though we sought their advice on those as well) - but they coordinated all the contractors and subcontractors and established a construction schedule to which they rigorously adhered. Mark and his crew of contractors worked diligently and efficiently. They sealed off the second floor to preserve its livability and afforded us free use of the house throughout construction. His team, as well as every subcontractor they hired, provided excellent work that we are very pleased with. Any issue that arose was resolved promptly and satisfactorily. No project is without its unexpected complications, but the Kitchen Center team handled them with aplomb, and the project was finished well within schedule. Even when we chipped in that we were interested in having central air installed, Brian found a contractor and seamlessly integrated it into the greater body of work. Though they don't come cheap, the Kitchen Center is well worth the money. We are very pleased with the work they've done for us, and it was an absolute pleasure working with them."

Ivaldo and his son, Angelo (who did the work) did a great job pricing the job and even had an electrician they worked with do the lighting installation. Very nice and professional people and we would most certainly call on them again for other jobs we have planned at our house. "Carlos is an absolute pro, and just one of the friendliest people you'll meet to boot! He was very responsive in getting back to me after initial contact, and was very thorough in his assessment. He took the time to ask relevant followup questions. He was also one of the few installers I contacted that was willing to work with with customer-provided equipment. I understand it's lucrative to work with wholesalers and retailers to provide equipment for these installations, but if you've already done the research, and have bought exactly what you want... it's frustrating to meet installer after installer that won't even entertain doing an installation for equipment they didn't provide. At any rate, Carlos was very patient and professional, providing recommendations based on my situation. Absolute top notch work! I'm listening to the system now, and it sounds fantastic! "Zana and Francisco are lovely people and every easy to work with. They definitely wanted to please and maintained close contact throughout most of the project. I was representing our condo association in the project, and they were very understanding of the need to get everyone's buy-in and approval. Francisco did a great job of reattaching the canopy, replacing the old, rotted wood with PVC, and preserving the decorative mouldings, etc. But he also improved it by giving it a bit of a pitch (to help with water drainage) and adding flashing to direct water away from the wood parts. There was a little bit of miscommunication toward the end of the project about some touch-ups that needed to be done. This is the sole reason for the B on professionalism rather than the A, and they were very very apologetic and gracious. I'd just be sure to communicate as much as you can with them throughout the project to make sure you and they correctly understand every element of the project. I've now hired them for my kitchen renovation."
