"I was very pleased with S and M Pest Services. They were quite professional, up front about all work to be performed and the cost of each tier of service. They minimize the use of harmful pesticides yet still manage to get the job done. We hired them for two properties that had different requirements, with one being much more difficult than the other. The more difficult job involved setting external and internal traps, some exterior masonry work, roof and chimney work, substantial external patching of woodpecker damage, and significant termite control. They far exceeded expectations on the more difficult property and I would not hesitate to recommend them. I rated them a B for price because this was the first time we've had to use this service."

But he also inspected the basement to check for any possible burrowing (there wasn't any). The extermination project itself took about an hour; then he described what he did and promised to follow up in 3 or 4 weeks (Rutland follows up 3 times after the main project). Overall, he was very efficient, very courteous, and very informative (including tips on discouraging rats from nesting under a raised porch).
