- American Vertical Blinds IncLisa was so very patient. I recently bought my home and was sorely disappointed with the window treatments left in the house by the sellers. During the showings the blinds had been rolled all the way up and I did not think to operate them during the home inspection. The blinds were cheap, very dirty and many did not work properly. I decided to replace them all and to buy local rather than via the internet. I researched local companies and came up with three that I called for quotes. Lisa had so many choices of types, styles and colors of window treatments. I knew I wanted honeycomb blinds for the ease of use because I have twenty windows to cover which I open and close several times a day to catch or block the sun. I also wanted the insulation value of honeycomb blinds. I found exactly what I wanted in style and color and Lisa also informed me of a special that one company was having for the current month only which was a cordless mechanism for free with each blind which saved me fifty dollars a blind. I had other vendors in for quotes. I gave one vendor the quote I had received from AVB and he whistled and said he could not come close to that price. The other vendor was almost twice the price of AVB. Also the installation was went quickly and smoothly and they took away my old blinds. Lisa and her husband have run this small company for many years and their concern for delivering a quality product at a reasonable price in a timely manner shows. On top of everything they are so friendly and easy to work worth. I am recommending American Vertical Blinds to all my friends and family. Should I ever have need for window treatments again I will call only American Vertical Blind
- SHADES ON WHEELSThe owner came to my home on the day and time we agreed upon, did all the measurements, showed me samples and advised me on color as well as various options (e.g., black out or translucent) depending on the room where the shades would be placed. The installations was done soon after and did not take very long (about 2 hours at most) to install 9 window shades and a slider. He removed all the packaging and disposed of it himself. I had a problem with one shade that was promptly fixed and have enjoed them now for 3+ years with no problems. They look as fresh as the day they were installed

"My choices were a little limited due to COVID crisis, but contacted 2 highest rated companies on Angie's. First was a small firm who was booked thru the Fall. Alliance has several crews and were able to get to us quickly. First visit was great (David), who provided the quote, alternatives, samples, pictures & addresses of previous work. Price was reasonable. Crew started a couple of weeks later. Very professional and courteous crew of three. Once they show up, they stay to finish the job. Separate gutter crew came shortly after siding was done. Cost was $28,000 for a 2 story cape with shake siding. We love the shake look compared to traditional horizontal siding, esp for a cape house. "The blinds were beautiful but ¼ inch too long. They normally take ¼ off for security but not this time. And since it was a custom blinds order they also refused to take them back and trim them. As a result, I had to trim them manually with a hacksaw. I’m 8 months pregnant. Very annoying. "

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there.
