4 windows. didn't hire them for the next 14. Too heavy to open and close. Grilles not flush that make them look not great and not easy to paint or stain. Overpriced- these were 2=paned- I bought 3 paned much easier to open and close. You can just do better elsewhere. (Some people buy Andersen windows but use different installers; this company is just one option for installation though not everyone understands that. I might consider that if I did it again. The windows are ok- not a fan of the company. For what they charge, they should get it right the first time.

Excellent and knowledgeable crew. They take pride in their work and craftsmanship, which comes through. My windows are amazing, and draft free. I will hire them again for all things construction related.

I used Renewal by Andersen to replace 21 windows in my home. They left trash around my house after the installation. The wood trim was terrible. The trim is crooked, bowed, rough, and they left marks on it. When I complained, I was offered $300 as compensation... <1% of the total cost. I was shown casement windows that were easy to clean and mine don't work like the ones I was shown. Now after the rain recently, water flooded into my basement through the 9 month old windows. I will be paying these windows off for the next 10 years.

Great service professional crew

I am a long time Andersen customer. Every window in my house is Andersen. After every installation I was told if I had any problems or needed a replacement part to call their Service Department. June 29: I called the Service Dept. and left a voicemail to request a replacement for a torn screen. July 01: Scott from the Service Dept. called me and left a voicemail saying it would be $115 for the screen and $125 for the “trip charge”. I called back and left a voicemail asking why I would need to pay a trip charge, but he didn’t return my call. July 08: I called and spoke to Jim from the Service Dept. He said the trip charge would only be necessary if I wanted Andersen to install the screen. Otherwise they would mail the screen to their nearest warehouse and I would have to pick it up there. Before ordering the screen Jim said he would confirm the screen type and call me back. He never called. July 14: I called and spoke to Scott again. He confirmed the screen type, and charged my credit card $115. He said he’d call me back when the screen was at the warehouse. He never called. July 29: I called and left a voicemail with the Service Dept. No call back. July 30: I called the main number and spoke to a concierge, Ryan. He told me Scott had left the company, that the screen should be at the warehouse by August 04, and they’d let me know. August 06: I called the Service Dept. and left a voicemail. No call back. August 07: I called the main number and spoke to Ryan again. He said he’d have someone call the warehouse and let me know. No call back. August 11: I called the main number and spoke with Christina. I asked if she would put me on hold, check with the warehouse and let me know. She said no she couldn’t do that, but she assured me she’d check and call me back. No call back. August 12: I called the main number and spoke with Johnson. After I explained the situation he said he was meeting with the Service Dept. in 15 minutes and would call me back. Later that day I got a call from Brandon who said the screen was at the warehouse. We agreed on a time for me to pick it up, and he said he would be sending me a survey to fill out. I drove to the warehouse and picked up the screen. As of August 15 I have not received the survey. Something’s fundamentally wrong with a company that won’t mail you a replacement part, expects you to drive 42 miles to warehouse in the middle of a pandemic to pick it up, and refuses to return your calls to the Service Dept. even after they charged your credit card.

Not good. We had experience raft in the window. They came 3-4 times to fix it.

Installed without the screen and crooked. Also not air tight. Installers didn't have screen. 6 service visits were subsequently scheduled over a 2 month period. No frame for the screen, no hinges for the screen then waiting for the screen to arrive from the factory ( they already had possession of the screen so this was a puzzler). Lock takes two hands to unlock as it sticks and still no screen. Last two appointments were no shows. Follow up to previous review: In the interest of fairness I want to add that they have apologized for the inconvenience and discounted part of the job. By way of additional clarification,the product is well made, it was the number of times it took to get it properly installed and the subcontractors not showing when promised that was the problem.

Everything went perfect. Salesperson was on time, very curious, took his shoes off in my home and was very professional. Explained everything in detail so that my wife and i could understand all the details. Gave us a no haggle price in writing and showed us all the payment options to move forward with our window project. The price was a little higher than we expected at first but we are glad we made the decision to move forward. Project manager was professional and also explained everything. He was quick and to the point and double checked all of our measurements, choices and options so there was no confusion or mistakes. Crew showed up about 2 months later and were on time, very professional and even made sure to close doors behind them so our dog would not escape which i thought was very thoughtful. The crew did an amazing job with our windows, they look perfect and did an awesome job cleaning up after themselves. They covered our floors, furniture and walkways and then even vacuumed everything up afterwards. I would highly recommend Renewal to everyone, you truly do get what your paid for.

We spent an entire year trying to get the door to our deck replaced. In the year's time, Andersen re-measured multiple times, ordered at least 3 doors and sent a different repair man each time. Each of these had his own ideas about what was wrong and why the door didn't fit correctly. None of the solutions actually worked. After 1 year, Andersen offered to start the process over again. We declined because we finally realized that they did not know how to fix it. We now have a door in place that requires 2 people to get it locked because the door is warped.

The replacement went very well. They set aside 2 days for the work. In under 4 hours they had 14 out of 15 windows in. Two of those windows needed a partial rebuild. They had to clean up for the day when we could see there was a huge storm coming in. They came back the next day and finished the last window and cleaned up some of the sealant/foam around the others. They removed the plastic and gave us the instructions on maintaining and cleaning, etc. They were very thorough and very quick. When they left, they cleaned so thoroughly that they left things cleaner than when they arrived. The only thing that made me a bit nervous was the fact that they said they needed to collect one third of the cost when the work was done. I was confused because I had already paid that using my credit card. He then said something about the remainder being due and was I going to write a check. I told him that the amount he was talking about was the amount we financed through the lender that they use. Apparently they were not informed that we had made our downpayment already and we were financing. We did get it straightened out, but I was really nervous for a few minutes. So far, we're happy with everything. But there is a short time between when the windows are installed and when you're able to actually open them, so hopefully that will go smoothly as well.

Had 8 windows replaced including two casement windows in basement the crew arrived on time with 4 people job was completed in one day.

The job went well; the guys doing the install had to endure the sun pounding down on them during most of the work done to get the window in and secured. They did a great job and worked well as a team. Sorry, no picture to upload.

The windows and doors being replaced were in very poor condition, with some problem areas. The replacement windows and doors really look great and have made all the difference. New interior trim was installed and really improved our rooms appearance. The Installers did a great job installing the new replacement windows in our not so new walls. The staff was pleasant to work with and worked with me to make sure things were the way I wanted them to be.

The work went very well. They did an excellent job. There was no extra work needed inside. Outside they also did an excellent job. We only had to fill in the screw holes from the old screens and paint over the fill. Everything works well.

It hasn't been a pleasant experience. For 4 years they have been out here several times trying to fix the windows. They are draftier than the one 40 year old windows. They have been good about coming out and trying new things to fix the problems. This last time might have done it; but shouldn't have been necessary to take 4 years to fix the problem. They are Anderson, there shouldn't have been a problem to begin with. I doubt I would hire them again. But their customer service has been very good. They just couldn't fix the problem. I'm waiting for this winter to see how drafty they are.

We started off by visiting the Andersen showroom in Northborough,MA on May 20,2017 where we saw some of the Andersen windows on display and talked with the salesman. He arranged a home visit. A very pleasant young lady came about two days later with material samples and displays. We signed up for the new windows and gave her a 1/3 deposit. Several days later another Andersen person came and took exact measurements of the existing window. The installation took place on June 29,2017 and went well. We chose the grill between the glass option with two vertical casement windows and a fixed picture window. The three installers were careful, well trained and friendly. They used drop cloths and vacuumed debris. After they left, we found a scratch on the outside surface of one window. We called Andersen and was told that a new one would be ordered right away. A pleasant Andersen installer replaced the damaged window on August 8,2017. His assessment was that the window was damaged at the factory since the windows are shipped with a thick plastic film to keep the windows from being damaged and the film is the last thing to be removed after installation.
