"First of all he's honest because everyone else wanted to charge me $800-$1200 dollars to relevel my trailer home. Eric came out and seen it was a simple fix and did it for $250 I was so impressed I decided to give him more work to clean my yard from storm damage and he and his helpers did a wonderful job they were fast efficient and respectful. And for the first time hiring handymen I didn't have to repeat myself to him Eric did exactly what I asked him to do Very Very impressed"

"Toujours homes was great to work with. They showed up on time every time. They completed the scope of work in a timely manner and went above and beyond to ensure the project was done to perfection. I will definitely be using them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do any home construction projects."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

House framing can be expensive because the materials are pricey, and the job requires a high level of expertise. The more complex the plans, the more expensive the job, but even the most basic frame needs to be installed with high-quality materials and precision. When pricing your home’s framework, remember that a sturdy frame is necessary to create a safe structure.

While it is possible to build a wooden carport yourself, especially if you are skilled in carpentry, professional construction is recommended. Professionals ensure structural integrity, proper anchoring, correct alignment, and the use of quality materials for a stable and durable result.

It’s sometimes safe to replace a load-bearing wall with a beam, but you need a structural engineer to sign off on the project. You’ll also likely have to upgrade to a steel I-beam or another material that’s stronger than wood to maintain the level of support you need without the wall underneath.

New builds, remodels, and additions often necessitate professional framing expertise.

For maximum stability, install grab bars on wall studs, as this will adequately support the weight. However, if you don't have access to studs, you can get by with wall anchors. If opting for the latter, choose specialty hollow wall anchors.
