"Every job that was done at my residence was executed by LDF Construction Group. This was an intentional decision for the simple fact that their work is neat, reasonable, and very thorough. The workers are nice, fast and very detailed in their performances and Mr. Lorenzo Fitch is very fair, straight to the point and professional. He always knows the best in’s and outs for every job which solidifies all confidence that he and his team are the best for any task they take on. All in all, I highly recommend LDF Construction for anyone willing to upgrade their living conditions. They are the best around, hands down. You’ve heard it from a very satisfied customer. LDF Construction is the best around. Real talk!"

"I recently completed a six-month project with NRG Remodeling, and I couldn't be more impressed! The renovation of my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, and kitchen went smoothly from start to finish. The communication was top-notch, and the team worked quickly and efficiently, all while maintaining very fair pricing. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the entire experience was stress-free—much smoother than I anticipated. It's rare to find such a professional and personable team, and I’m already planning my next project with them. I would absolutely recommend them for any home renovation and will definitely turn to them for future work!"

"We needed help cleaning out the garage which was filled with many items that needed to be disposed of and were too heavy for us to move. He not only moved things to the street for bulk pick-up, but helped rearrange all remaining items in the built-in storage and cleaned each shelf . He organized what we were keeping and it is now a pleasure to go out there. We can always find what we need. We did not tap into all of his talents as a builder/contractor, but we got done what we needed. We will definitely use him again."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Your local building code will list all the framing requirements for whatever type of structure you're building. Most exterior walls require spacing of 16 inches on-center, while many non-load-bearing interior walls only require 24 inches of spacing. However, there are also varying requirements depending on your construction material, so checking your municipality's rules is essential.

No rules state how much of a load-bearing wall can be removed. Rather, you need to adequately support any area that is removed. Support should always be added to as much wall area is being removed. Failing to support the area properly will result in structural damage.

Yes, most services include necessary frame modifications for proper door fitting. Confirm with your provider.

Baseboards don’t have to be nailed into studs. However, nailing them into studs adds to their stability. When studs aren’t available, you can secure them with drywall nails directly into the drywall and adhesive. Always aim to nail into studs, especially in high-traffic or impact-prone areas.

Framing a basement takes three to five days, on average, when completed by a professional, though it may take longer for a larger space. Keep in mind this doesn’t include the time to complete the design, obtain permits, and install the drywall on the framing. On average, fully finishing a basement takes an average of 45 days.
