"I chose Northshore Painting based on the number of positive reviews on Angi. Phillip and his crew exceeded all expectations. The quotation process, payment and all of our interactions were professional. Phillip's attention to detail and guidance set his business apart. In addition to exterior paint, we also had them pressure wash our house and concrete, replace siding and woodwork, install gable vents, secure a handrail and fix one of our doors. There was also an issue with the paint color, which we changed between the first and final coats. Phillip said that it was important that the end product was exactly what we wanted; and it is. The house looks great. Phillip was onsite, working or checking on his crew everyday. They worked every weekday for three weeks to get the job done and always left the site clean. A number of our neighbors have contacted him to do their work. Northshore Painting has our highest recommendation."

There are exceptions and specific considerations. If your property is on a slope, an inward swing might not be possible. For a deck gate, it's safest to have it swing away from any steps. In a backyard, the direction can be a matter of preference, though an inward swing can be helpful when carrying heavy items like a wheelbarrow into a garden.
