"I used Adam Dupre' and his crew from ADTEK Enterprises, LLC to remove a HUGE portion of a 100+ year old tree that had fallen on my property and landed on our camper, utility trailer and some of our vehicles. Due to the age and massive size of the tree, as well as how the huge limbs had fallen, it was a very large and risky job. Adam came the same day I called to review the situation and to provide me with an estimate for the job. He and his crew were here the very next morning as he promised. They spent all day removing the large limbs and also removed any other limbs that could pose a potential future danger to our neighbors and our property. Adam brought in all of his equipment and a team of 6 guys. He and his crew worked on our tree and property for the entire day. Once the limbs were cut and hauled off of the property, his crew raked and cleaned the yard to ensure that there was no other tree debris around the site. Adam and his crew were so professional and did such an awesome job, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend him for any tree services to anyone. I will definitely use Adam again for any tree work that I need to have done in the future!"

"He was very adequate on getting me a fair price, very well mannered, and was on time or early for everything. He demolished 2 sheds for me and did a very good job. And the cleanup after the demolition was very professional it’s like the sheds were never there! Highly recommend to anybody!"

"They were very professional from the beginning until the end.  Mr. Broussard came by at the pre-arranged time to survey the trees and give me an estimate.  On the day of the service, he personally supervised the entire process.  When finished, all of the debris was picked up and hauled away.  I would recommend Billy Broussard to anyone.

"Kevin Carter is the best lawncare consultant and worker I ever interviewed. His knowledge of trees and "junk" hanging on my fence was inspirational and he and his crew did what was requested and more! My yard can now breathe! He and his crew were respectful, very thorough, and they went through the yard like a tornado and were through with it completely in a short period of time. I can't thank them enough for such a good job."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Generally, if your neighbor’s tree hangs over your yard, you can legally trim overhanging branches. Keep in mind that you cannot cross your property line to cut the trees, and if you damage the tree by trimming it, your neighbor could sue you. Depending on the type of tree and value, this could mean dishing out two to three times the value of the tree.

It’s worth noting that the specifics of this type of tree maintenance and the guidelines around it may vary by location. Do your research and, most importantly, consult with your neighbor.

Coverage varies quite a bit by policy, but most homeowners' insurance policies will cover $500 to $1,000 of the cost of removing a tree. Additionally, if your tree causes damage to your property, like your house, many policies will cover some or all of the costs to repair the damage, depending on why the tree fell.

Local tree removal prices range from $200 to $2,000 overall, but vary depending on:

  • Local cost of labor and supplies

  • Accessibility of the tree

  • Local laws regarding who is allowed to remove the tree

  • The species of the tree (softer woods are often easier to remove)

  • Local seasonal discounts for the off-season

You can shape a cherry tree by trimming vertical branches, dense branches, and intersecting branches. Your personal aesthetic comes into play, as well. If you want to simply thin and shape the tree, you can get away with trimming the aforementioned parts of your cherry tree. If you want to shorten branches, however, consider thinning cuts, which alter the length of the branches while encouraging light penetration, new buds and shoots, and a structurally-sound shape.

We recommend removing the stump, and grinding is a popular way to do it. You can also dig out small stumps or stumps that have fully decayed instead of grinding them. However, don’t try using acids or fire for killing a tree stump, which is a fire hazard and illegal in many areas.

Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.
