"We are extremely pleased. When we called, they came out at the time they said they would. They gave an estimate for trimming a large live oak away from the roof and from hanging over a neighbor's property. They suggested removing some interior branches to open up the tree and remove the possibility of falling branches. When we accepted the offer they provided copies of their insurance information and we set a date for the work. They came when they said they would. We were impressed by the equipment they used. They had a hydraulic lift that was able to come into our backyard through a five foot wide gate. The aborist used the lift to do almost all the cutting except for a few low limbs. His crew hauled the cut branches out to the chipper. When they were finished cutting and removed the hydraulic lift, they then cleaned all the cuttings away. The work was done in a very safe manner that really impressed us. We plan to use them again."

"They did an awesome job! I would definitely hire them again. The entire crew was friendly and respectful! They got the job done quickly and did a great job cleaning up my yard once the trees were down. Price was great too! I contacted several tree companies to get quotes before hiring them. Save yourself a lot of time and call them first. Highly recommend!"

"Very prompt with estimates and on time to do the job1 Did a terrific job removing a large tree stump in our back yard, a tree stump, from a tree that came down in Ida, in the front of our house and a neighbor's tree stump, that had grown under our fence and foundation, from the side of our house. Mr. Travis also removed the fence and filled the stump holes with dirt. Very professional, Would definitely use them again."

"Exceptional Service - Highly Recommend! I couldn't be more pleased with Hank's work! From start to finish, he demonstrated the highest level of professionalism. He arrived promptly as scheduled, which I truly appreciated given my busy schedule. What really stood out was Hank's meticulous attention to detail. He took the time to thoroughly assess the situation, explained everything clearly, and executed the work with precision. It's rare to find someone who takes such care in their craft - nothing was overlooked, and the quality of his work exceeded my expectations. Hank's professionalism extended beyond just his technical skills. He was courteous, respectful of my home, and ensured everything was left clean and in order when the job was complete. If you're looking for reliable, high-quality service from someone who truly cares about getting it right, I highly recommend Hank. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for future projects."

"Job: Trim and thin out a Water Oak. Excellent service at a Great price. They called within 15 mins after listing my service request. The tree was in the front yard, Chris was able to give me a quote over the phone by looking up the tree in GOOGLE Maps and had a crew that could come out in 15 mins. I request he meet me in 30 mins. with his crew. Chris made some suggestions over what I wanted to do help shape the tree. Guess what even with the extra work quote was the same. Hire Crescent City Tree on the spot, job was completed within 2 1/2 hours. The crew was very conscious on where the pieces were dropped when cutting, even rigging the ones over the house with rope before cutting, all wearing safety equipment. They even check the nest I requested to see if it was active before cutting. Before packing up to leave they verified the job was to my satisfaction and if I wanted any other branches trimmed. Yes I would hire again and recommend them."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

How often and long you should water a tree depends on the species and if it is mature or newly planted. The amount of water is also based on the tree's size. A good rule of thumb is approximately 5 gallons per inch of the trunk's diameter.

Adjusting watering to the recommended suggestions for the tree type and weather conditions is vital. For instance, watering trees during a drought is necessary, and you may need to water more frequently than usual.

If tree branches cross well into your property line, in many cases, these branches become part of your property, and you can trim them up until your neighbor’s property line. However, this issue will vary based on local ordinances, so you should do your research before making any decisions. Better yet, speak with your neighbor about how to handle any tree issues.

If you don’t mind the branches, you can leave them be, but if they’re becoming a hazard, it’s definitely worth having a conversation.

Deciduous shade trees (the type of trees whose leaves fall off in autumn) need to be pruned in late winter—between February and March. That’s because it’s easier to find and remove sick or dead branches when no leaves are present. And wounds close and heal faster in colder temperatures so pruning them at this time also makes them less prone to infection.

Palm trees aren’t much different than your typical tree removal. Removing a palm tree is a standard procedure as long as pros have the proper tools and supplies. For DIYers, however, there are some risks associated with palm tree removal. Palm trees have spiky fronds, bark, and patches of hefty wood. So, it’s best to let an experienced tree service pro remove a palm tree.

If you don’t cut down a dead, dying, or diseased tree, it can become a nesting place for pests like mosquitos, bees, beetles, wasps, fly larvae, and more. Some pests will live in the tree, while others will feed off the decaying wood. Unhealthy trees are also more likely to fall over, potentially injuring people and causing damage to your property.
