Went totally opposite to what was actually discussed at time of hire. And had excuses of why he made the ditches. After completed, he informs me he specializes in sewer drainage. Three different REAL drainage companies laughed at his work and could not believe he did that. Now I have to hire someone to do the job correctly. Wish I would have been informed of his speciality work, i would have never let him do the mess he made."

It’s sometimes difficult to distinguish a clog from a frozen drainpipe since ice technically causes a clog. If the temperature doesn’t tip you off, there are a few additional signs that your pipe is frozen. Look for condensation and frost around the pipes. The first rule of plumbing is nothing but water, toilet paper, number one, and number two go down the drain. 

To prevent clogs, get yourself:

  • A compast pail where you can clean plates, drain grease, and toss scraps and paper towels. 

  • Drain screens for the shower, tub, and bathroom sink to stop hair, jewelry, toys, etc. from going down the drain.

  • Trash cans for everything that shouldn’t go down the drain, like dental floss, hygiene products, and cat litter.

If your washing machine drain is clogged, that isn’t a good sign.
