"I had an emergency water leak coming from my ceiling, and they responded the same day. They quickly identified the problem as a ruptured water heater and replaced it that very day. Excellent service?prompt, professional, and reliable. I?ll definitely call them again for any future plumbing needs."

"Highly Recommend! we have been having an issue with slow draining from our washer for over a year. We hired others and they cleaned out the drain and left without a second thought. They came out and actually found the problem instead of putting a band aid on it. It ended up being a broken pipe in the slab that needed to be replaced. .. uh oh! He started the work the next morning and completed and repaired/replaced the problem area within one day. Washed clothes last night and for the first time in months had no issue! The day following the job he called to check on things and see how the draining went that night and if there were any other issues that we came across. Very nice guy, did exactly what we needed, fixed the problem and all done quickly and at a very reasonable price. I know have a go to plumber for anything I need."

"Ed Chachere is a local builder. There are a handful of people that work for him. They are very desired around town and are very sought after for very high end buildings by upmarket people. A lot of architects in town use Ed Chachere Construction. His work is very precise and he is being very careful with our 60-year-old house. They are using screws instead of nails for the work. Everything is very, very sharp in the cuts and very clean. I like his precision and the fact that the work is strong. He handpicks the lumber and is very careful to put the right side out. As a carpenter myself I look for those kinds of things. He has been very considerate. There were a couple of deck boards that shouldn’t have been side by side, but they got it right by tearing them up and remixing it. That was an example of how they were very willing to do what we wanted them to do. He has involved me throughout the process. The other day he fell off my roof and had to be taken to the emergency room. He was back on the job the next day, but we just made him sit all day and give directions from the chair. He has been here everyday since. I think he is great. He worked from the crack of morning until almost the last bit of daylight in the evening. He put in long, long days and I like that about him. We will probably use him in future."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

As a preventative measure, hydro jetting should be done every one to two years. However, the best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. The ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the age and condition of your pipes, how prone they are to clogging, how often the sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. If you frequently experience clogs or are unsure, it's best to ask a licensed plumber for a recommendation specific to your plumbing system.

There are several homemade solutions for clearing a clogged sink that don’t involve pouring harsh chemicals down your drain. Start by pouring hot (but not boiling) water down the drain. This can help dissolve and flush away grease and gunk. A splash of dish soap down the drain can also cut through fat and make it easier to clear the drain. For a more stubborn blockage, grab a plunger and give it a few firm pumps to dislodge the clog.

Unlike regular cleanings, snaking your sewer line should be done as needed. There’s no reason to snake your sewer line if you don’t have any noticeable issues, like slow drainage or plugged drains. You can add it to your regular sewer cleaning checklist as a prevention method (on the same 18- to 22-month schedule), but it’s not always necessary.

Liquid drain cleaners are harsh chemicals that can erode your pipes. To treat a slow drain or for preventative maintenance, pour hot water down the drain to break up gunk and help move it along. Make sure the water isn’t boiling hot (keep it under 140 degrees Fahrenheit) if you have plastic pipes. However, you’ll need to pull the clog out for bigger backups.

Professional plumbers use many high-grade chemicals to unclog drains. Many use hydrochloric acid, known as muriatic acid, when it comes to extreme blockages.
