"Bobby L. Greene Plumbing, Heating And Cooling is a family business that began in Shreveport well over 60 years ago. Bobby and his wife, Doris, began working out of their home with an old typewriter, a card table, and one truck.\n\nPublic demand allowed him to grow and today the family business includes a number of family members, several employees, and vehicles.\n\nAbout Bobby L. Greene Plumbing & Heating Co.\n\nSeveral years ago, Ricky took over the everyday operation of the company for his father. Both of Ricky’s sons, Justin and Michael, have earned their Master’s Plumbers Licenses and share daily responsibilities along with their Dad. Like the rest of the Greene family, Justin and Michael have worked since they were 8 years old learning the business from the ground up."

"I hired Neli over a week period for 3 different appliances, my dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even kitchen sink! I had a fantastic experience: 1. I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process. 2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem. 3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! This was a well spent $40.00--I even got Thomas advice on purchasing a new washing machine and what to look for. 4. I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage. In the end, I saved lots of money, gaining and learning valuable experience! Absolutely fabulous service!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Schedule plumbing updates during the fall to prepare your home before winter cold snaps arrive in Coushatta. Older properties in the area rely on aging galvanized pipes that require replacement. Address these upgrades before the spring storm season brings heavy rainfall that stresses local sewer lines. Always secure necessary permits before starting any major work.

Helpful?

Watch for slow drains during heavy rain, which indicate ground-shifted sewer lines in the expansive clay soils of LA. Musty odors and recurring water stains signal active leaks that accelerate mold growth in our humid climate. Notice soft spots in your yard or rust-tinged water coming from your faucets. Address these warning signs immediately to keep your plumbing system functioning properly.

Helpful?

Treat any active leak, sewage backup, or frozen pipe as an immediate emergency. High humidity in LA accelerates mold growth rapidly, and rural service wait times take longer. Schedule minor dripping faucets or water heater replacements during slower seasons. Complete any exterior drainage plumbing before hurricane season begins to protect your property from heavy rainfall and flooding risks.

Helpful?

Completing essential plumbing repairs prevents unresolved defects from ruining a home sale in Coushatta. Buyers prioritize a reliable water supply, functional drainage, and a certified septic system over luxury upgrades. Fix any deferred maintenance and service your septic system before listing your property. Providing documentation of these updates reassures buyers and directly supports your resale appeal during the inspection process.

Helpful?

Keep children and pets away from the work area, especially when servicing septic systems. Older Coushatta homes require an assessment for lead pipes before starting any plumbing modifications. Seal all wall and floor penetrations properly to prevent insects and rodents from entering your home. Always flush your water lines after completing work to clear out accumulated sediment from the local water supply.
