"Oasis Tree Care was doing work in my neighborhood and it was something similar to what I wanted done so I asked if they could provide an estimate. I met Thomas, who was very courteous, and said they were finishing up there and could come right over and look at what I had. After a little talk on what I wanted and what the tree needed to be healthy, and me inquiring on their qualifications to do tree work, we settled on a price and Thomas told me that they could do it right then, which I agreed to.
While waiting for them to assemble, I came in to check Angie's List and sure enough they were there and had a good rating. It was important to me that they knew how trees grew and how cuts were to be made to ensure the health of a tree with a long life. With three arborists on staff and hearing how they understood direction of cut, feeder roots, etc., I felt comfortable with letting them continue.
Unfortunately I had to leave before they finished but my oldest son was here to supervise and by the time I came home I hardly recognized our yard. The tree looks beautiful. The lowest canopy is probably a little higher than I wanted, but I know this was in anticipation of future growth.
