Customers say: True professional

"I did not use the services, because the problem turned out to be with the electric company instead of the generator. Keegan walked me through several steps over the phone to try and avoid an unnecessary service call. I will be sure to call the company when I do need generator service in the future."

"Kyle was absolutely amazing ! From first contact he was professional and provided me with all the information I needed. He installed an outdoor fan for me that I thought was difficult to fix. Kyle worked around my work schedule and fixed my fan for me fast and accurately. His work was perfect. I appreciate his hospitality , as it is hard to find genuine people these days who care when it comes to helping people. Would recommend Kyle to anyone and I will definitely use his services in the future ."

"Joey did an excellent job. He asked questions pertinent to the issue, then evaluated the unit. He dismissed the trouble and made the necessary repair. He then asked if I would like further evaluation, and I accepted that. He advised that although the unit was working, it had some weak issues that could cause trouble, but considering the urgency of the immediate repair and the age of unit and plan for sale, we choose not to do additional repairs. It does make us aware of what else to watch for. Replaced faulty capacitor and checked lithe components of system."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Common mistakes in Baton Rouge include skipping required permits, using non-code-compliant materials, and overloading circuits. The Baton Rouge Department of Development frequently cites improper grounding and failure to follow local amendments to the National Electrical Code as causes for failed inspections. To avoid these issues, always consult local authorities, use approved materials, and consider hiring a licensed electrician for complex or unfamiliar tasks.

Helpful?

After electrical work in Baton Rouge, schedule periodic inspections as recommended by the Baton Rouge Department of Development. Maintenance should include testing GFCI outlets, inspecting panels for corrosion, and replacing worn surge protectors. Staying updated with local code changes and keeping records of all work performed can help ensure your system remains safe, efficient, and compliant with Baton Rouge's electrical regulations.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in Baton Rouge, choose materials that meet local code, such as copper wiring and weather-resistant PVC conduit for outdoor use. The Baton Rouge Department of Development recommends using UL-listed components to ensure compliance. Sourcing supplies from reputable local electrical distributors helps ensure you receive materials approved for Baton Rouge's climate and code requirements, streamlining inspections and future maintenance.

Helpful?

In Baton Rouge, most electrical projects—including new construction, major upgrades, or service reconnections after six months of inactivity—require an electrical permit from the Baton Rouge Department of Development. Minor repairs may be exempt, but it's essential to confirm with the local permitting office. Always verify current requirements, as Baton Rouge follows the National Electrical Code with specific local amendments for safety and compliance.

Helpful?

In Baton Rouge, DIY electrical work can save on labor costs, but risks include failing to meet the Baton Rouge electrical code and voiding home insurance. Licensed electricians are required by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors for most projects, ensuring code compliance and warranty coverage. Homeowners benefit from professional expertise, reduced safety risks, and successful permit inspections when hiring a certified local contractor.
