"I needed a vent pipe rerouted in my attic, as the original design was not installed to let the water drain. Mike from Tom Drexler called to let me know he was on his way, gave me the estimate before starting work, and explained what he was doing and why. He was very knowledgeable and fixed the pipes quickly and made sure it was working properly before leaving. I was very satisfied with the service. The price was more than I was expecting but I am happy to have this fixed, as it was causing leaks in my kitchen ceiling and I should not have any other issues. I will be requesting Mike for any future plumbing issues."

"What an absolutely amazing experience! I couldn't be happier with the professionalism, quality, and friendliness of Alpha Electric. I had a complete panel refresh and electricity run to a nearby workshop. The work was completed on time and they communicated well at every step of the process. They will be my first call for my next project."

"The job went fantastic. They were punctual, professional and affordable. I highly recommend them for basement finishing. They did the framing, electrical, and drywall. My husband and I did all the trim work, wainscoting, and light fixtures. Someone else installed the flooring. They were finished in three weeks time. Unfortunately I could not get my photos past the framing to load."

"I reached out to Simple Cleaning after a few attempts on other local companys. I waa referred by my realtor, I looked them up and looked at all their feedback some good some bad but no one is perfect. Contacting owner "Amy" she was very polite about scheduling and discussing what her business has to offer her clients against other companies. Day of cleaning her employee Chelsea arrived on time, she was very polite and kept busy, she did my ceiling fans, baseboards, and did the normal cleaning, she even helped me with a few things, if you are looking for a great company that is ready to satisfy your needs , choose Simple Cleaning, Amy you have a gem with your crew."

"Tony Rouzer along with his 2 crew members arrived each day fully prepared to do the painting of  several rooms in my home. They were very quiet, polite, thorough,,,no chitchat,,,no loud music,,,efficiently and professionally performed the day's tasks. Each evening they cleaned and put away their tools and equipment - ready for the next day's work.
There were several rooms to paint with tall ceilings, crown molding, baseboards, doors, fireplace mantels, windows, bookcases. A lot of work. The crew took care of moving furniture and paintings, lamps,  and numerous decorator items. When the job was finished they assisted in returning furniture and small items back. One of the crew members even washed the kitchen cabinets! Mr. Rouzer went out of his way to shop for and install a much better wall hanging system for the very large hand painted screen on the living room wall. One of the crew members even washed the ceiling fans! There were a few mistakes (literally only 2 small spots missed on ceiling) and when pointed out, Mr. Rouzer immediately corrected. Oh, did I mention he brought me some doughnuts!
The price for doing the work was very competitive and fair. The value far exceeded the price. The work they did was meticulous, beautiful, without a doubt the best painting contractor I have ever hired.
I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Rouzer and Pro Painters Plus. The experience of working with Pro Painters Plus was worry free. Excellent job, well done.
Thank you for reading,
Shirley J Carmichael

"Made me LOVE my house again. After a devastating electrical fire. My home was dark, and sad. Now it better than it was prior too the fire. First impressions are everything. MR K. Thomas, came early w/his roofer, electrician and plumber, day one on time.No rescheduling required. That's what's made moving forward with K and L Home Improvement the only choice. He discussed every step before moving forward to ensure I hadn't wanted to change anything. And of course I did.LMBO. His team was very helpful and respectful of my home and my constant popping up. If I asked for somethings that wouldn't work, they would say no or make a suggestion. The flexibility, RealTalk and dependability was another reason I knew my home was in good hands. Even when my vision wasn't standard or the norm. When it was all put together everyone was happy to put their name on it. K and L Home Improvement, wasn't the highest estimate, but proved to be the HIGHEST & BEST when it comes too Customer Satisfaction!. "One Stop shopping" Thank you K and L Home Improvement, for EVERYTHING!

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Installing a ceiling fan where no wiring exists is a difficult and potentially dangerous job that should not be attempted as a DIY project. It is recommended to hire a certified electrician to build the necessary electrical infrastructure. In some areas, building codes require this work to be done by a professional to ensure safety and compliance. Due to the complexity, this type of installation is a significant job that could cost up to $2,000.

Essential tools for ceiling fan installation include a ladder, screwdriver, pliers, wire strippers, and a circuit tester. If the ceiling is angled or features unique configurations, ensure the availability of a compatible mounting bracket.

The direction your ceiling fan spins helps create comfortable airflow in your home and can also help cut down on energy costs.

During summer, your ceiling fan should spin counterclockwise. This will push cooler air downward in a column and help lower your room’s air temperature. In the winter, set your ceiling fan to spin clockwise and at the lowest speed setting. This will pull cool air upwards, displacing the warm air that pools towards the top of your ceiling and bringing it down towards the floor.

Though possible, installing a ceiling fan yourself requires electrical knowledge and confidence working with home wiring. Following the manufacturer's instructions carefully and observing safety precautions are crucial components of a DIY installation.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.
