Customers say: Super punctual
"I had called several other companies in the area to get quotes for refinishing, but everyone gave me the run around. Dave was very professional and always returned my calls promptly. He was able to fit me in to their schedule very quickly.
I recently purchased my home and tore up the carpet which covered the first floor living area (living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms). The hardwood underneath was in extremely bad shape. It had many spots from pet stains and high traffic. A lot of boards were warped or not salvagable. Dave and his team were able to make them look as good as new. His team even built a new threshold into the kitchen for no additional charge. There were many spots and boards that needed to be replaced, and Dave gave me a very reasonable price for the additional work and materials. (It is included in the total $2,450 above). The work was completed on time with no issues. I wish I could share the before and after pictures, you would not believe it is the same floor.

"Cecily called me within an hour of submitting my request on HomeAdvisors. I sent her pictures and she came back with a quote the same day. We've communicated both over the phone and via text, which I personally appreciate. John was my technician that came out to my house. Very nice, professional and informative. I will tell you that getting your corian cracks repaired isn't cheap but is significantly cheaper than replacing all the counters. It was difficult finding someone to repair our Corian. I've contacted several others and they never got back to me. I would highly recommend Midwest Solid Surface."

"Jim, a master carpenter, arrived at agreed time and was able to repair a damaged kitchen island countertop so it looks great. Also fixed rickety chairs, two drawer slides, loose bathroom tiles and installed several carpet transitions strips. All done in a professional manner. Countertop repair took some real brainstorming and Jim came up with a great fix, avoiding replacement of a top that couldn’t be matched."

When it comes to flooring installers, licensing laws vary from state to state. Even if your state doesn’t require your flooring installer to have a license, your municipality or city might, so it’s a good idea to check with your town before getting started. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines.
Hiring an unlicensed flooring installer could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
