Get rid of yard debris like worn furniture and broken tools first, then start trimming and raking what’s left. Mow the grass, trim the hedges, and rake leaves away. Once that’s complete, move on to more detailed work, like pulling weeds and replanting gardens.

Always mow the lawn on a short setting when overseeding. The thinner coverage offers more space for the grass seed to take root in the soil. When reseeding a lawn, however, you may need to remove your old turf altogether.

Mowing is very good for your grass. It encourages the grass to grow back thicker and healthier. Keeping a lawn thick and healthy will also block out weeds that could stop grass from growing. Cutting your grass on a regular schedule will ensure your lawn continues to grow healthier with each season.
