Knowing Al Fleischman that goes by Rooms you Love has been the worst experience of my life. I bought an older house and was going to update it. The only thing I was having him do was tile work. The first job he was supposed to start on was my master bath. Then a smaller bath, kitchen, and sun room. The other two professional contractors said that they would be done with master bath in a week. This included busting concrete up to move toilet, and old drain for the shower. Then it had to be plumbed back. All the dry wall had to be moved, and I went from a single bowl sink to a double. I had to plumb for a wall shower, rain shower and a hand held. I mention this because I hired a professional plumber to move toilet, and shower drain, and run all the new water lines for sinks, and shower area. The two contractors quotes where to have all this done, and the bath room completed in a week or less. They where doing the electrical work that needed to be done, and installing ceiling fans, dry wall, glass for walk in shower, and sliding doors.
So when he started a large part of the other two quotes had already been done. I assumed it would take about 3 or 4 days for Rooms you love which is Al Fleischman to do finish the tile. Which would of been 900.00 to 1200. This assumption was based on the quotes from time other to contractors gave.
He didn't start in Jan. as agreed! He didn't show up for first day until Feb.17. He was good at putting it off and making
you think he was going to start. He kept saying the job he was on was running behind he just needed a little more time. He for sure lied about his start date when he had a schedule knee surgery. So he finally shows up and it was a joke. I thought he was going to work. He made it a production of unloading the tile, and other materials. He would rather much rather flirt with Janis at KY tile, or any other women he sees than work. Note to any husbands leaving wife at home while he is in your house! The 3 to 4 days I expected turned into weeks. Crazy thing is he never asked to be paid. I told him after the first week that I would pay him. He said don't worry about it. The second week the same thing. I thought he was giving me any bills because he wasn't doing any thing, and didn't think I owed him much yet. He did a small dry wall patch in another bath where I took the old vanity out. He put mud on master bath ceiling because I took the texture off and made it smooth. I asked him how much it would cost to do these things and he said not much. I knew a professional dry wall guy. So I let him do these in addition. This went on till March 26 when he finally said he need some money. He hadn't finished the shower area yet. The tile area is 40 inches wide, 8 ft. long. a couple of niches, and two benches. Not much of an area. The bath room floor was getting a heated wire, and tile. This was never even done. The small shower area was not grouted, and the tile was left covered with the mortar in cracks. It took hours to scrap out before the tile setters I hired finished. I had a border band in center of tile. The bottom was flush as it was supposed to be. The top had a mismatch of .180, to .125, .090, .06. the point is it was not set proper. The holes are two big for the faucet to cover, and have to be repaired. The drain is not consistant. He told me the was an electrician and had went to school for it. The electrician I hired said what he did was incorrect.
All this said the night I was going to pay him in cash because the day earlier he told me he wanted me to pay him in cash so he didn't have to claim taxes. I had 1400. in cash to pay him. I told him I would give him 2500. for the shower when he was done. He said that I owed him 6000.00. I told him that was more than Franks and he was supplying the materials. I had paid 4000. for tile, and plumbing at the point he started working. I told him that was insane. He knew how much I was expecting to pay never kept it a secret. He started yelling and cursing in front of my 7 year old son. I told him to leave, and he thought he was going to intimidate me into paying him.
I have much more to add. I will have to finish at another day!

I met with a man by the name of Ron Haroldson who suppositively their chief inspector. And he was the one that came out here and evaluated my basement and all that stuff and set up the contract. I met with him and the work wasn't supposed to start until June the 17th. They were supposed to be done by June the 21st. During my conversation I told Mr. Haroldson about my well with the holding tank, those were my concerns. Moving the holding tank and drainage pipe they would have to be jack hammered and all that. I didn't want my well and all that stuff to get messed up. He told me at the time of our conversation that Dand L had a plumber that I wouldn't have to worry about it. They had a plumber, the plumber could take care and move this holding tank. The first day, they took out drywall that I was not told about, to have this wall removed between my garage and my sewage area in the basement, that was never mentioned in the contract. He went around and looked at everything, so he knew exactly where all this work was going to be done. The crew shows up and the first thing the guy says to me, the foreman, do you have anybody who can move this holding tank? I said no, I was told you have a plumber. I can't just get a plumber right now. He said I think we can work around it for right now. Then he ends up moving it and he even told me I'm not comfortable messing with plumbing and all that. He ended up doing it anyway. They got it all put back together. They never did show up on time, and sometimes they left early, they would tell me they would be here at a certain time and then not show up for a couple hours. That particular day they came in at 9:30 and they left about 12:30 and supposively to finish another job. That made me mad because I thought I waited three or four weeks for you to put me on your schedule, this should be my time. They left and went to another job. I went to inspect to see what they had done and I noticed I had a drainage pipe that was broke, that they broke with the jack hammer. They never did say anything about it. I had to call the company, of course they came back that night and taped it up, temporary fix and that day they knocked this drywall out and it's a long story. But they knocked this dry wall out and I wasn't expecting to be knocking any drywall out, but they knocked this drywall out and they weren't going to put it back up. I said the owner never told me you were going to knock any drywall out. They said no they weren't going to put it back up or anything. They broke the door frame and my door is misaligned from that. That was the first day. The next day they didn't fix the drainage pipe at that time. They started putting up what they call a durawall which is a waterproof wall. I was feeling it and I felt there was just too much slack in between the durawall and the cinder block. I felt it should be centered with the cinder block. They pour concrete to fill it. Once the concrete is poured you really can't do much about the wall then. When they got ready to fill in the area with the concrete, he cemented the area where the holding tank was going sit. He waited about two hours and he put the holding tank back on that cement. It sank down into the concrete because it was wet. They are saying that I wanted it set back because I wanted my water back on. That is not true. I could have waited 24 hours but what they wanted was, it was my only water source and they wanted to get their job done. They needed the water to mix their cement to lay on the parameter of the basement. They are blame it on me I wanted my water back. They said they were coming back the next day at 6:30. I get up early, they never showed up until 8:30. They had clumps of concrete laying on the other part of the floor. It's been one nightmare after another. The concrete part is already cracking in some places where they laid it. They way they did the sump pump thing, the way it was positioned, it should have been positioned in a different way because now the way it's positioned you've got water when it rain, the water is standing on top of the drain. I don't know if it will affect it or not, it's not going off or anything, but here you've got standing water and when the water finally left you've got mud on top of it where they had done that work. The day that they were supposed to be finished in my house, they were supposed to do a clean up job, they took my garden hose from the outside and sprayed the room down, the durawall and the concrete down and on the opposite side of that door is my finished part of my basement which my carpet got soaked. After they left there was standing water in my garage area and my basement storage area, where it was done. It was just like a sauna. According to their warranty on the durawall, high humidity levels void the warranty of the durawall. I had extreme humidity levels in there caused from them. They were supposively done, they didn't untape the air return. Thank God I found it or I could have had burst pipes or whatever. My water pipes were ice cold and they were just dripping like crazy. the whole room was just like a sauna. Here is the clincher. They were supposed to finish up this outside work. They never did call, they never showed up, they never did anything. They did not come back. They had already dug the trench out there around the building and laid some of the pipe. They didn't show up for two or three weeks later to finish up the outside. In the contract it was supposed to be done within a week, everything. To say the least, water got in the trench, therefore there was mud getting in the trench, mud draining into that drainage pipe that they already laid. It was a mess. They finally got out and finished it out in July. There were two inspectors came out and looked at all this work on the inside and they said it was lousy work that Dand L doesn't do work like this. They were going on and on about it. They were commenting that it was poor quality work. Now they are now coming around they don't understand why I made a complaint to the better business bureau. They took all these pictures and I thought they would go back to the big boss and tell them all this stuff. They are acting like I'm a crazy woman I guess. The owner of this company I am really disappointed in him. Not once had he made contact with me. He knew I was very displeased. I had sent e-mails, I had spoken with personnel and not once did the owner of this company ever make contact with me to find out what was really going on. Now they are acting like they can't understand why I'm complaining. I do give them credit for this, the one guy name Cody he did come back out and he put drywall up for me, he did try to fix my door. He did try to smooth out the concrete. The concrete, the way it was laid there was obvious difference between it and my regular concrete that was already there. He did try to improve some things. But he told me that his boss really didn't want him coming out doing it. So somebody is lying. They are responding to the better business that they did all this, that someone came out and did 16 hours. Yea, but they told me that you didn't want him to. One inspector even told me somebody is going to get fired over this. Nobody got fired. Still got the same crew. And I was also told by him that he was getting other complaints about this same crew that was doing work. I will never, ever, ever call that company again."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ky/henderson/d-and-l-crawl-space-and-basement-waterproofing%2C-llc-reviews-6790867.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"W M Holland Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"KY","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Connie J."},"reviewBody":"W M Holland Inc demolished and replaced all of my cabinets. When I got back, I was happy to find a GREAT job left behind! There was nothing I would have done differently. It is level, the garage is smooth, and the apron in front was “swept” to give it a textured, no-slip surface. The apron was slightly sloped just as I had asked, to allow for proper...

FAQs for french drain service projects in Henderson, KY
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
