"I was pleased with the installation of the lightning rods--communication was great and the work was done quickly. What I wasn't happy with is he quoted me a price that was less then my actual bill was BUT the price was still less then two other contractors bids."

"WB Lightning is focused on customer service. The company provided good communication and responded very quickly to my inquiry for a quote. WB Lightning is a respected company, I had another electrical service provider tell me I made a good choice when I hired WB Lightning Rods."

"It was pretty rocky. At first. Several appoints made by Tri-State no one ever showed up.Crew showed up to install the Generator before the site survey and did not have necessary equipment or cooperation of Electric or gas company nor call before you dig had been notified. I called Tri-State to warn them the call before dig had never been preformed. They said they'd take care of it, did not happen until right before installation crew came back the second time. The first time they were here they could not have installed the generator even had they had all the parts because none of the utilities had been marked. Finally after about three months the Generac was installed and working. I had several questions that I could never get answered by calling Tri-State. One of the installation team had to come back a couple of weeks later to replace a damaged part and he answered all my questions. The guys who installed the Generac were great, the problem is your guys operation center and call center as far as I can see do not communicate very well. Anyway the generator has worked fine in several power outages this spring. I am happy right now but I live in dread something goes wrong and I have to call Tri-State for help."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

New homeowners in Henderson should begin with a whole-house electrical inspection and GFCI outlet installation, especially if the home is older. Install hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and clearly label your electrical panel. Prioritize outdoor outlets with weather-resistant covers and landscape lighting with GFCI protection. Preparing for storm season with generator readiness and upgrading to LED lighting can also improve safety and energy efficiency.

Helpful?

For electrical maintenance in Henderson, keep moisture-resistant electrical boxes, GFCI outlets, and outdoor-rated wire nuts to handle the area’s humidity and temperature swings. Essential tools include a digital multimeter, non-contact voltage tester, wire strippers, and electrical tape. Weatherproof outlet covers, surge protectors for thunderstorms, and emergency lighting are especially useful during Henderson’s tornado season or unexpected power outages.

Helpful?

To keep electrical projects safe for families in Henderson, install tamper-resistant outlets and GFCI protection throughout your home, especially in areas prone to moisture. Use outlet covers and safety plugs when outlets are not in use or during projects. Secure electrical panels with locks, and keep cords out of reach of pets, particularly outdoors. Consider whole-house surge protection and battery backups for added safety during storms.

Helpful?

Before starting electrical projects in Henderson, always secure the required permits from the city’s building department and confirm your plans meet the Kentucky State Electrical Code. Schedule inspections a couple of days ahead to prevent project slowdowns. Call 811 before any digging to avoid underground hazards. Plan your timeline around Henderson’s stormy seasons, and coordinate with your local utility if your project might cause a temporary outage.

Helpful?

In Henderson, address electrical repairs right away if you notice storm damage, malfunctioning GFCI outlets in kitchens or baths, panel issues, or outdoor electrical problems before winter sets in. Less urgent projects can be scheduled for fall, when weather is milder. Avoid major work during peak summer or tornado season. For emergencies, act quickly to minimize risks and ensure your home’s safety.
