"Wilbur was prompt in making initial visit and his workers were there when he said they would be. Our project required staining of a lot of trim and he meticulously taped all walls to ensure neatness. If any changes came up (there will always be some) he listened carefully to my concerns and took care of things. I will certain use his services again in the future."

Customers say: Quality work

"Their work is absolutely beautiful and totally perfect. I would give them 6 stars if I could! That they could do the job that they did, in the time that they did it, and for less $ than other painters (by far)...seriously, they can't be beat. I will definitely use them again!"

"OAI leveled and resurfaced our 25 year old elevated, multi tiered deck as well as replaced the steps and repaired some of the railings . Abe provided a detailed plan and bid; he was open to make changes and additions once he began the job. He and his crew were respectful of our property; cleaning the site as they went. He provided quality work, finishing ahead of schedule despite work days well over 90 degrees!!"

"They were very nice and professional. They went to work as soon as they got here and didn't stop for breaks until the 2 rooms they worked on each day were done. They did 2 rooms a day and have left the garage for today. The rooms look better than I imagined. I am so excited to show my place off, now it is my place."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Routine cleaning, sealing/staining, and inspection prolong deck life and appearance.

Wood stain does go bad, but it will last in the can for between three and six years, provided you use proper storage techniques. Storing wood stain in open containers or in extremely low or high temperatures will cause your wood stain to become unusable much more quickly. Water- and latex-based wood stains typically last for just two to four years, while oil-based wood stains can last for three to six years.

Staining pressure-treated wood is a recommended practice. While inherently resilient, it's not impervious to moisture and UV exposure. Staining treated wood is feasible and recommended for enhanced protection and longevity. Applying stain and sealant safeguards against degradation, prolonging its life span. These measures shield the wood from environmental threats while augmenting its aesthetic appeal, ensuring your investment endures the test of time.

The number of coats you need to apply when whitewashing a surface depends on how opaque you want the final product to be. If you're going for a transparent, barely there look, a single coat or two may suffice. For fuller coverage, you'll want to use multiple coats. Another option is to use a less diluted paint to get a thicker coverage.

Yes, you can waterproof any wood that has not already been treated. A good way to test this is to splash some water on it. If the water starts to bead up, the wood is treated and most likely doesn’t need another coating.
