"BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This company is all about getting their $99.00 for the estimate, selling you an annual service fee and then quoting exuberant prices. Not really sure if they really care about doing the actual plumbing work. Recently gave me an estimate for a job of $500. Learned later after from another plumber that what they wanted to do was actually not correct AND should have cost no more than $250. Had I used Fayette Heating / H20 Mastero, I would have paid $600 for a job done incorrectly. At least the 99.00 I paid kept me from damaging my house further. There are a lot of reputable plumbers in Lexington. Suggest you look elsewhere"

"If I could give them zero stars, I would... absolutely horrible company. They subcontract out the work (our installers spoke no English and could not communicate with us at all!) so they can blame it on the installers, then won't call you back when you have an issue with your floor. My issue was one broken board, they refuse to send someone out to even look at it and have determined that we broke it. It's Lvp flooring, supposed to be durable... it's only 2.5 years old and looks worn and broken. DON'T USE THEM!! Unprofessional, use subpar contractors, and low quality product that won't hold up!"

No, not all houses have ducts. It would be safe to say, however, that most modern houses do. The reason is that older houses had boilers in the basement that heated from the bottom up and often vents weren’t built into the house. Another reason is that older homes don’t have air conditioning (because it didn’t exist) and use radiators for heating. Since radiators don’t require ductwork, it wasn’t built.

Luckily, you can typically eliminate your microwave’s burnt smell within a few hours for most situations. Be sure to let it air out for two to three hours after cleaning to let the odor evacuate your home—if you close your home up too early, the odor will be trapped. For stronger, more stubborn burnt smells, it might take a full day or more to really notice a difference. 

Air duct cleaning is always worth the money. Not only will it increase the air quality in your home but it can actually be a net positive over the long term if your vents are so dirty or damaged that they leak air. Cleaning or fixing them ensures the air you are paying to cool and heat actually reaches the livable space of your home instead of dissipating through the walls.

Your evaporator coils should be cleaned at least once per year. However, the frequency of cleaning depends on your air conditioning system age and performance. If your system is old, keeps breaking down, or continues to underperform, you should have your evaporator coils cleaned twice per season. 

Your home’s location also plays a central role. For example, if you live in climates with a lot of moisture, humidity, wind, dirt, or dust, you’ll likely need to have your coils cleaned more than once yearly. 

While you can put air fresheners at the opening to ductwork, most experts don’t recommend it. You will only disguise the odors rather than treat the underlying cause. Plus, blasting the concentrated chemical fragrance into your home’s air when the HVAC system is on may be overpowering and cause respiratory issues.
