"I reached out to Brian on a Saturday due to the roof leak and needing a tarp put on before the rain comes. He came the same day and instead of just giving me a temporary fix with the tarp, he fixed the problem at a reasonable price."

"Very personable, the thing that impressed me the most was that I had a contract that had came in and tried to finagle a contract with me - without actually talking to me about it. So I called Not Just Roofs and they didn't want to take the work away from another contractor, so I told that I didn't plan on using the other company and wanted their bid. That's when I decided to take the bid. As a consumer I feel very confident about his honesty and loyalty."

"I absolutely loved the roof from RAM roofing. Isaac and his team are efficient, friendly, and hard working. I had a leak in the roof. I was initially going to do a repair on the affected area, but after inspection, we decided to replace the entire roof and the wood underlay. I am so happy with the work they did and it looks absolutely great. I love the smooth look to the finish. Thanks again!"

"I recently had Unisource Roofing replace the roof on my home in Louisville, KY, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! From start to finish, Adam and Tre were incredibly professional and easy to work with. They walked me through every step of the process, from the initial inspection to final walk through, making the whole experience stress-free. The quality of their work is top-notch. The crew was efficient, cleaned up thoroughly after each day's work, and finished the job on time. My new roof looks amazing, and Iâ  ve already had neighbors asking who did the work. If you're looking for a reliable, honest, and skilled roofing company around Louisville, I highly recommend Unisource Roofing. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction really sets them apart!"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Homeowners insurance typically covers roof repairs or replacement if the damage is caused by a sudden, accidental event or a covered peril, such as a storm, wind, hail, fire, or a falling tree. However, insurance will not cover repairs or replacement for issues stemming from a lack of maintenance, normal wear and tear, or a roof that is simply old and at the end of its lifespan. If a leak or damage occurs due to neglect, you will likely have to pay for repairs out of pocket.

A roof pitch multiplier is an accurate way to calculate roof square footage, and it’s handy for purchasing the correct amount of materials. To determine your roof pitch multiplier, you'll need to calculate the roof slope, square it, and add it to 144. Next, find the square root of the total and divide it by 12. The answer is your roof pitch multiplier. Once you know the roof pitch multiplier, multiply it by the total square feet of your building to determine the total roof surface area.

Yes, many chimney professionals offer cap installations to prevent debris buildup and animal entry.

Technically speaking, yes, verbal agreements and “handshake deals” can be legally binding contracts that will hold up in court, but the suing party will need to be able to prove that the parties entered into the contract. Even though verbal and handshake deals can be binding, it’s risky to rely on these types of agreements for anything, including roofing projects. Always aim to get your contract in writing, and make sure it includes all terms and that you don’t agree to additional terms that don’t appear in the contract.

Venting a gas water heater out of the roof is preferable in most cases. Heated exhaust gases naturally rise, so a vertical vent pipe is efficient. If you’re trying to vent through a pipe exiting a wall, the angle of the pipe may be more horizontal than vertical, making the venting system less effective. If you go through a wall, you may need to add a fan to ensure a successful expulsion of the gases outdoors.
