"I needed a vent pipe rerouted in my attic, as the original design was not installed to let the water drain. Mike from Tom Drexler called to let me know he was on his way, gave me the estimate before starting work, and explained what he was doing and why. He was very knowledgeable and fixed the pipes quickly and made sure it was working properly before leaving. I was very satisfied with the service. The price was more than I was expecting but I am happy to have this fixed, as it was causing leaks in my kitchen ceiling and I should not have any other issues. I will be requesting Mike for any future plumbing issues."

"What an absolutely amazing experience! I couldn't be happier with the professionalism, quality, and friendliness of Alpha Electric. I had a complete panel refresh and electricity run to a nearby workshop. The work was completed on time and they communicated well at every step of the process. They will be my first call for my next project."

Tony painted and added cabinets, completed the backsplash in our kitchen, painted our entire house, painted interior doors, replaced and painted exterior doors, plus so much more. Tony will be starting on our bathroom remodel in a few days. Tony has been great to work with and his work is phenomenal. Tony is our go to guy."

"I made the request on line.  Within a few hours I received a call back asking for details and and an appointment time.
Justine and Blair called within 15 minutes of the appointment.  The exhaust pipe in the attic was not attached at all to the roof vent pipe.   This pipe was at a 45 degrees angle connecting to the roof vent pipe. The vent pipe to the roof was hanging by one nail.
They purchased the materials and reconnected the vent pipe from the roof to the kitchen exhaust fan with flexible piping.  They also told me that the connection to the kitchen fax was not secure.  they also repaired this.
I am very well pleased with their work.

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

When choosing a mounting bracket, you have the option between flush mounts and downrod mounts. Flush mounts are the better option for low ceilings as they feature a lower profile. Downrod mounts are the optimal choice for rooms with high ceilings as they offer a pole that adjusts the height of the fan.

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.

To determine if your ceiling box can support a fan, you must check if it is specifically fan-rated. Manufacturers are required to indicate this on the box itself. You may need to remove the existing light fixture to look inside the ceiling box for an inscription stating it is rated for fan use. If you do not see this confirmation, the box is likely not strong enough and must be replaced with a fan-rated junction box. For a proper and safe installation, you should also use a fan brace to secure the new box between the ceiling joists, which provides the necessary support for the fan's weight and motion.

Ceiling fans are very often worth the investment because they improve comfort in your living space and help reduce utility bills. In the late spring and early fall—and even in the summer in some areas—homeowners with ceiling fans can often get away with open windows and fans, which can cut down on cooling bills and also reduce wear and tear on the HVAC system. Over time, ceiling fans can pay for themselves by saving you money on electric bills and air conditioner repair and maintenance.

Yes, you can install a ceiling fan where a standard light fixture is, as the electrical wiring is often similar and may not need to be replaced. The most important step is to ensure the ceiling can support the fan's weight and motion. You will need to replace the existing light fixture's electrical box with a fan-rated electrical box, which is specifically designed to handle the extra weight and vibration. These boxes will be labeled as suitable for ceiling fan support and will indicate the maximum weight they can hold. Before you begin, also consider if you need an extension rod for a high ceiling or a special mount for an angled ceiling.
