I am a Journeyman Union Carpenter by trade but after 15 years left it to pursue other things. I have had rental properties and done hundreds of property rehabs and remodels over the years. I have a working knowledge of plumbing and electrical and I take pride in my work. I also rehab and refinish antique wood furniture and build custom furniture out of old wood and recycled materials. No job is too small and I enjoy meeting all the people that this kind of work leads me too.

I started my business because I got tired of seeing people needlessly struggle to pay for much needed house repair. We will work with you in order to make sure you get what you want. It’s always better to follow proven drywall repair tips and fix the seams that look bad. However, if you simply want to make them less noticeable until you have time to fix them, you can use paint. A darker color of paint makes bad drywall tape seams less noticeable than light-colored paint. Matte paint hides bad seams better than glossy paint does, too.

Most experts would not recommend hanging wallpaper over existing wallpaper more than twice. Even if the walls are in good condition and primed well, that third layer of wallpaper could cause problems with adhesion. Unless you like bubbling paint and peeling wallpaper as an interior design choice, it’s better to remove at least one existing layer before adding any more to a wall.

For the most part, peel-and-stick wallpaper doesn't damage walls. However, there may be some cases when damage does occur. For example, if you try to rip the paper off the wall, you may pull away some paint at the same time.

The walls can also be damaged if they aren't prepared properly before you add the wallpaper. For example, if the coat of paint is too fresh when you put the wallpaper on the walls, it can peel away as you remove the paper. 

Once again, contact with moisture is the culprit here, though water-resistant varieties of wallpaper are less likely to become wet and develop mold. Using a high-quality exhaust fan or dehumidifier and leaving the doors or windows cracked after bathing will keep this issue at bay. 

It depends on the construction of your wall. Most handypeople can fix small holes in drywall. If your wall is plaster or brick, more significant damage may require a drywall contractor or a mason. Hiring a handyperson costs less than a more specialized type of contractor, but they’re not trained in all types of wall repairs.
