Customers say: Quick response

"Michael Post, the owner of Post construction, and his crew are wonderful people. Post Construction was hired by my builder to trim out our new house that my wife and I were having built. I met up with Michael to do a walk-through before he started the trim work. He was very professional and courteous. During our walk-through, Michael explained his process of how things were getting done and when they would be finished. Post-construction installed all trim, doors, and cabinets throughout the house, and when they were finished everything looked wonderful. Michael Post and your crew, thank you for a great job."

"Jon has completed work for us on two seperate occasions.  He went above and beyond to assure we understood  what was needed and the cost.  We required some shingles to be replaced - he did the research and purchased them for us then made the necessary repairs.  He also changed some outdoor flood lights (high up) and power washed our gutters.  Everything was done in a timely way and with professionalism.  We will use him on all occasions that require a Handyman. "

"Knight construction may not have known what they were in for when they took on the remodel in my basement (poor initial construction quality), but Shane and his crew adapted and overcame the obstacles. Nothing was square, the floor wasnâ  t level and the stub walls built for the bar area were done sloppy. Through all of it, Shane kept us informed, stayed on task and justâ ¦.did. They finished our basement bathroom, and put in the wet bar. The best part of the project was the countertops for our bar - epoxy countertops that were custom made by Knight Construction. They look amazing! All of the work was done just under budget - a bonus to the deal."

"Nathan replaced some defective siding, patched up some areas, and repainted the entire exterior of the house. He also refinished the deck and repaired our front porch railing. He did a beautiful job and saved us quite a bit of money. His price was great, his response time was very fast, and he got the job done quickly and professionally. We are very happy with the work he did - our house looks great! He also did a separate job of painting our interior (price not reflected here) and did a beautiful job, and helped us get our house ready to sell - we are very pleased!"

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Most towns and cities have regulations regarding sign dimensions for businesses. If you're opening a new business, contact the town or city's local zoning board to see the specifications you need to follow when getting your sign created. There may also be rules regarding how high your sign can sit. Be sure to learn about specifications before having your sign made. Sign companies generally won't offer refunds once custom signs have been fabricated.

When conducting space planning, building codes and regulations need to be considered. As long as you are taking them into account and discussing them with the architect, you should be able to do your space planning appropriately.

Designs typically take 2-6 months, depending on factoring, project size, and customization needs. Larger or more complex designs may require additional time for approval and revisions.

It usually takes around four to six months to build and install a modular home, although your timeline could go up to around eight months if there are delays in the manufacturing or permitting process. Heavy site preparation and foundation pouring can extend that timeline if you need them, as can customizations you want for your modular home. Your modular home company should be able to provide an estimate for the construction timeline before you sign any contracts or agree to any work.

You can draw your own house plans using three-dimensional modeling software, but in most cases, you’ll need an architect to draw up the final plans. Architects understand local building regulations and requirements, so their plans will be necessary for getting permits approved, and they’ll also ensure your home is structurally sound. DIY house plans can be a good place to start to help visualize your project, but you should always defer to a professional before trying to proceed with the project.
