"I used Mr. Handyman to lower some cabinets in our garage, paint them and and also paint our stairs. and a couple doors. Jerry, our technician, did a fabulous job. He worked quickly, offered some advice and we could tell he was experienced. The project was completed in record time and everything looks great - he also cleaned up the area for us and removed the trash left behind. We will be using their services again! Like Share"

"I’m so grateful that Jacob with Apex Remodeling came to my door that day (and that I answered ?). He advised me that one of my neighbors had hail damage that was covered by insurance that Apex had repaired, and would I like him to check my roof to see if my house was affected by the same storm? Not only did they confirm my roof was damaged and needed to be replaced, but they also pointed out the hail damage to my gutters and downspouts! Jacob dealt with my insurance company for me, making the whole process painless and stress free. He kept me thoroughly informed every step of the way, and helped when my insurance company dropped the ball. Apex showed up when they said they would, finished the work according to schedule, and my property was left tidy when they were finished. I absolutely recommend Apex and Jacob Carter without any reservations!"

"James, Tyler & Paul were great! They were informative and never grouchy that we came out to look or ask a question! James kept us in the loop from the time he entered our property and continued throughout the 2 days they were here to do the job! Easy to talk to and well informed on all the work they did. The foundation of our garage had moved and we had noticed cracks which is why we called Groundwork’s to begin with. Clint was our first contact, he did a detailed inspection of our homes foundation. Gave us a quote and we could decide what to tackle and what we did not need to address. He did not pressure us which we appreciated. We signed a contract and they kept to that contract even when the job ended up taking more hand digging then originally thought. We were very pleased with the teams work ethic and communication."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

The cost of a window repair varies significantly depending on which part is damaged. Here is a breakdown of common repairs and their estimated costs:

  • Broken seal or fogginess between panes: $70–$245

  • Cracked pane: $40–$100

  • Broken glass: $200–$2,000

  • Sash, seal, or track repair: $200–$600

  • Latch or hardware issues: $75–$200

  • Broken window frame: $175–$1,000

  • Window screen replacement: $140–$480

Yes, you can replace the screen without removing the door in most cases depending on the frame holding the screen. Doors with removable spline and screen frames make it a snap to replace the mesh while the door remains in place. The best part is that it’s a simple DIY project requiring a few tools in addition to the screen material.

Garage door screens can expand your living space, turning a garage into a home office, gym, or entertainment space. They provide comfortable ventilation, insect control, and privacy, allowing you to enjoy your space all year round. Consult a local garage door screen installer to add this feature to your space.

The average cost to screen-in your patio ranges from $2,000 to $4,000. How much you spend depends on the size of your patio, the materials used, and construction complexity. Some patio screen room kits are easy to DIY, but you may need to hire a local screened-in porch builder and obtain permits for more complex designs.

Most windows last for 15 to 30 years, depending on the frame material and the glass quality, but most will require repairs during that time. Windows gradually lose efficiency, so it’s usually best to have a window repair technician inspect and service your windows every five to 10 years. You should also repair your windows if you experience the following:

  • Leaks

  • Drafts

  • Difficulty opening or closing

  • Sudden increases in heating and cooling bills

  • Outdoor noise becomes more audible

  • Signs of physical damage
