"The stone decking at Water’s Edge Pond was weakened and falling into the water from all the gulley-washer rain storms we’ve had and Peak Structural was the only company in town that would take the job. The crew assigned to the job was top notch: Tim Hubbard, Spenser Aragon, Kato Morgan and Brad Jones plus others. They started and finished the job in the time promised and took great care to rebuild and fortify the foundation and grout work. I’m convinced the area is stronger now than when it was first constructed. The old grout was meticulously chipped-out, vacuumed-clean and re-packed with new super strong 5000-psi grout. Many homeowners complimented the hard-working professional crew as they worked on the project. Great quality, hope to recommend them for other jobs around the neighborhood. "We selected CASTA Construction to replace our front porch sidewalk /front 1/3 of driveway. I was impressed with the owner, because he offered several options at a fair price. We closed the deal with a handshake between us. They did excellent work , and always arrived at the time they said. I would highly recommend them for any job they quote. I enjoyed working with the owner and would hire them again."

"It went very well. Really appreciated the technician going over each part of the job and estimate; explaining what would be done, why, and cost. The roof repair required a couple of steps starting with the least expensive and progressing as needed. When additional work was required, the technician explained the issue with photos and diagrams. We were very satisfied with the end result."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.

The average mirror has a lifespan of 10 to 15 years. After that, the coating begins to deteriorate, losing its reflective properties. Acrylic mirrors have a slightly shorter lifespan of seven to 10 years. Higher-quality acrylic sheets with UV-resistant properties have lifespans similar to those of your average mirror. By maintaining your mirrors and keeping them out of direct sunlight when not in use, you can extend their lifespan. Some mirrors can last for decades.

Hard water stains are caused by hard water. Hard water contains a lot of minerals, like calcium and magnesium. When water on your glass surfaces dries out, the minerals stay behind and stick to the glass. This results in a residue that looks like white cloudy or streaky spots. Call a pro to install a water softener to banish hard water problems.

Their thickness depends on application, but most glass walls are typically 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. Although it’s not as common, single panes of glass can also be 1 inch thick.

Replacing a glass pane is much less expensive than replacing your entire window. The average person will pay between $180 and $400 to replace a glass window pane. This price can vary based on a ton of factors, including labor costs in your area, special window treatments, and the number of panes on your window.
