Usually service people have to go back to town for parts. He spoke directly to HomeServe on the phone; got them to understand a repair would still require a replacement very soon and be a waste of money, so they agreed to the replacement; I agreed to pay the cost of the upgrades I needed to be to code and he installed the new water heater. It was a very seamless job, and done very clean and neat, with good information all along the way about what I needed to do to take good care of it too. I will definitely recommend this company and this plumber."
