Flint Hills Windmill and Pump Service, LLC, got its start in 1904 in KS. Tod Jones is current owner and operator of the company. Tod is licensed and insured as a water well contractor and provides a variety of services to handle residential, commercial and agricultural water needs. These include (but are not limited to): Solar Pumps, Jet Pumps, Submersible Electric Pumps, Sump Pumps, Pressure Tanks and New Installs, New House Construction Installs/Maintenance for Water Wells, Trench Work, Hydrant Replacements, Pond Aerators, Pond Fountains and Windmill Repairs, Maintenance and New Installs. After having a poor experiance with another company I was so satisfied with Flinthills. They called me at 7 am, gave me a quote over the phone and were here by 10:30. Submersible pump was replaced iwithin 1 hour of arrival. Price was less than half my previous quote with a better warranty. They will be my first call for any future issues.

Tod, and his crew were very professional. They checked out my existing system and resources, and explained to me what I could still use, and what should be replaced. They were also courteous and very knowledgeable. After a plan was created, they worked me right into the schedule and got the job done. I would use their services again and recommend them to anyone needing a good pump/windmill man.

The work I had done was not easy. They were very knowledgeable about what needed done, really knew what they were doing, and wasted no time doing it. For all that needed done, the price was quite fare. It's a good feeling knowing the job was done correctly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys, or hire them again.

Although Tod (owner) provided prompt service, he came to the job without the necessary PVC pieces despite sending him pictures and confirming the sizes the day before. As a result, he was forced to make a trip to his supplier. It was a minor issue but the final bill was in my opinion excessive so I wonder whether he was on the clock when he went to his supplier. Job consisted of cutting two pieces of PVC and attaching three elbows. My bill was almost $300. The work was good but like I said, the bill was twice what it should have been. My fault for not asking what his hourly rate was. MD
