Emergency services offered

"Amazing! Gonzalo and team were total professionals from the first phone call to after the job was completed! I had hired Image Landscaping and More to remove 7 dead pine trees from my front yard at a home we just purchased. There was a lot of commotion with other contractors on the property working on renovations. Gonzalo was able to work around everyone, lay down 7 large trees with perfect precision and accuracy. Here's the best part - my new neighbors actually came over to comment on how great the property looked, but more importantly how polite and professional Gonzalo and crew had been! I was worried about the disturbance that could be caused by removing 7 trees, but it was done in such an excellent manor that our neighborhood was very impressed. Can't say thank you enough! Our yard looks amazing too! You cannot even tell that there were once trees where they were removed. Cleanup was incredible as well! If you're looking for the right company to hire, you've found it!"

Small jobs welcome

"They did a superior job. You do not have enough rating to give them. They did a very good job on cleaning up after themselves. Other than the bare spots on the trees where they took the limbs out, you could not even tell they were here."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It takes anywhere from three to seven years for a stump to decompose on its own. This timeframe can depend on the kind of tree and your climate. The lower to the ground the stump is, the faster it rots. If you kill a tree stump with salt, boiling water, herbicide, light deprivation, or burning, the tree stump decomposes faster.

Poison oak is similar to poison ivy in that it's in the same family of plants. Poison oak is identifiable by its rounded-off leaves and hairy leaf texture. Tree-climbing varieties live primarily in western states while low-growing poison oak bushes occupy the eastern states. Treat poison oak like poison ivy to get rid of it permanently.

The ideal time to prune a tree depends on the type of tree. Typically, late winter or early spring is a good time to prune but isn't always the case for "towering trees." It's best to trim when trees are dormant and before blooms appear but can vary depending on the tree type. It's always best to research the type of tree or ask a professional tree trimmer to determine when is the perfect time to prune your tree.

For trimming trees, your best tool is a pair of pruning shears or loppers. Both options work best for branches that are under 3 inches in diameter. Trimming trees with a larger diameter may require a robust tool like a small chainsaw or a handsaw, so take into account your tree’s diameter when deciding between tools.

A tree branch should start to form roots in about three months. It can take about a year for a tree branch to develop roots strong enough to go in the ground. For best results, start several branches because, no matter how closely you follow instructions, they won’t all form roots. Compost any that aren’t thriving.
