"I was connected with this company via my home warranty and their manager Jon. I had a leaky faucet that was under warranty. Therefore I pay for the service fee and not for installation. Primary Maintenance came out to diagnose the faucet issue and confirmed that it needs new cartridges. I ordered new cartridges and they arrived and Primary Maintenance came back out. Carl, the tech, came out and was confused by the cartridges and said that another plumber could complete this job and to call the office to get it set up. I called to have the other tech come out and John said that because they had to come out multiple times I would have to pay for it. So I called home warranty company. Home Warranty company informed me that because I had the wrong cartridges, I would have to pay. But, I went through the trouble of double checking the part and the instructions and made sure the right parts were there during the original service call. And John knew. The walls can also be damaged if they aren't prepared properly before you add the wallpaper. For example, if the coat of paint is too fresh when you put the wallpaper on the walls, it can peel away as you remove the paper. 

How long peel-and-stick wallpaper lasts depends on a few factors, including the conditions in the room, the quality of the wallpaper, and the wallpaper's application. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but you may decide to remove it sooner. Under ideal conditions, it can also last for much longer.

Factors that may shorten the lifespan of peel-and-stick wallpaper include high humidity in a room (such as a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper.

We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.

You can hide wallpaper seams when painting by applying joint compound over them and then sanding thoroughly until smooth. You’ll want to apply two layers of compound, allowing for four to eight hours between coats. Do a light sanding between coats and then after the final coat is dry. Once the compound dries completely, you can begin priming and painting the wall.
