Refacing existing cabinets with new doors and drawer fronts is very popular, and homeowners can choose the details of their new cabinets with me during our kitchen design consultation. Shaker style has been trending for a decade or more and it's what I do the most of when I reface. Refacing takes a little longer than refinishing and I do more refinishing than refacing. You can use any colors you choose. Most refinishing takes me a couple of days in the kitchen and I recommend Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane. Kitchen cabinets are always satin sheen.
