"Project went very well.  Shed doctor tore down our old shed and put up the new one and hauled old shed away in a matter of 6 hours.  New shed looks great.  They were punctual and worked diligently.  We are very happy with the result.  Work does not include painting the shed, it has base coating on it.  We would hire Shed doctor again any time.

"Good people and great work with the re-mulching of our property. Very conscientious. They trenched around the entire house, used quality mulch, and made the home look better than the work done three years ago where we had paid nearly twice the price to another company."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Fritz was great to work with from start to finish! He was punctual, and extremely flexible with our moving-target schedule based on a whole house remodel. The finished product is just as described and anticipated. People actually comment on how good it looks - they offer a variety of base paint colors and then you can add colored chips in various combinations. We love the retro look!"

"Room addition; Greg was responsive and resolved all issues raised. Greg is professional and respectful. I only gave a quality rating of B because I felt that the crew needed a little more closer oversight, I suggested this to Greg and he was receptive. The work was completed promptly, and I will definitely consider Greg for my future projects.

Home Building questions, answered by experts

During home building, you will make critical decisions before construction even begins. Start by verifying zoning classifications, subdivision rules, and floodplain requirements near Fall Creek. You will also select your foundation type and HVAC system design based on specific IN climate demands. Finally, choose your materials and finishes carefully, as mid-project change orders require amended permits and trigger additional inspections in Pendleton.

Helpful?

Managing expansive clay soils and proper drainage design are critical for successful home building in Pendleton. These soils expand when wet and contract when dry, making engineered footings and proper soil compaction essential. Strict compliance with state energy codes and correct vapor barrier placement prevent moisture damage. Hire experienced local professionals who understand IN climate detailing to ensure your home withstands regional freeze-thaw cycles.

Helpful?

A complete permit history with passed inspections at every stage proves your home building project meets safety standards. Your contractor must secure a Certificate of Occupancy to confirm the structure passed final inspection. Look for proper drainage grading sloping away from the foundation to prevent standing water. Additionally, footings in Pendleton must reach a 36-inch frost depth to comply with IN state codes and ensure structural stability.

Helpful?

To ensure safety during home building, require your contractor to install perimeter fencing around the site. Pendleton features clay-heavy soils that make open foundation excavations dangerous fall hazards for children and pets. For renovations in older homes, hire certified professionals to handle lead safely. Because IN is a high radon state, incorporate radon-resistant construction practices into your new build to protect your family's health.

Helpful?

The humid continental climate of Pendleton significantly impacts home building schedules and material requirements. Winter construction requires cold-weather concrete protection, while spring thaws create muddy conditions and groundwater risks. Summer heat demands special concrete curing protocols. To handle the IN weather, your home requires a 36-inch frost depth for footings, correct vapor barrier placement, and a roof designed for a 20-pound ground snow load.
