"Let me tell you about the experience we had with Moore Restoration. NOT SO GOOD! Although it has been 4 years ago we thought we would write a review anyway. Some things you never get over. The workers themselves that did the actual physical work were VERY NICE! They did attic squirrel clean up, and mold, and Very expensive . $20,000 out of our pocket because the insurance company does not pay for this kind of work. The Management foreman over the team, from the owner, to the project manager, and other clerical people we talked to in the office were VERY RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND MEAN! Let me start out by asking How many of you out there would not be angry and unhappy if Moore Restoration quit in the middle of finishing everything that was in the contract that you signed, and left to go start another project elsewhere because they could make more money? that is exactly what happened to us here in Anderson, Indiana. Yes, this is not only a restoration company, but also an emergency service, SO BEWARE! The project manager said they had an emergency at a church one week. The next week they went to Cincinnati because of tornadoes. We waited naively thinking they would call and give us some idea where we would be on the list to finish. We realized after two weeks that probably not going to happen .How long was there emergency going to last? All SUMMER! And get this, we are in the middle of trying to put our house on the market but could not get a sign in the yard till they finished the job. The job had an extra add on in the contract to fix something on the roof due to squirrel damage and bad ventilation. This was becoming an undue hardship for us, and we did not even get an apology. Add that to the fact Project Manager could decide on his own discretion if the job could be completed because I, (Mrs.Simpson) became angry and upset the day they finally came out to pick up their equipment they had left behind from two weeks before. The Project Manager would not try to be flexible, and give me a date to be completed. He said I was unrealistic. I even called his boss before he came and it did not help either. He then used the excuse that he was afraid to return and have the job finished. My guess is that he has been through this before with some other customers before after reading some of the complaints on internet and did not really want to finish the job anyway. EXCUSES! EXCUSES! EXCUSES! IN conclusion, believe me, this company in response to this review if they dare, will not only me, but anyone else who becomes upset and unhappy, will make the customer sound as bad as they can to defend themselves. The owner never returned our messages, so I guess he was okay with how it was handled. Yes, the contract may say things can change with the weather, but we never thought we would be left in a mess because of it. Now the excuse is me the customer. I had a great attitude until they decided to pull a fast one on us. In the end for us, they only cared about the BIG COMPANY MONEY! Their emergencies come first before the LITTLE GUY! They had to have the money up front to even get started. Then when they had our money, and we signed the contract they can do anything they want. We would not recommend this company for restoration. Emergencies come first for them. Keep that in mind! BEWARE! Cindy and Alan Simpson, Anderson, Indiana. June 26, 2019"

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

To get rid of the smoke smell in a microwave, scrape off any burnt food residue and throw it away. Next, warm a cup of water in a microwave-safe container for three minutes. Then, dip a microfiber cloth into a mixture of water and a couple of drops of dish soap and wipe down the inside of the microwave. Dry the inside of the microwave with a fresh cloth and let everything air out for three hours.

Appliances that are smudge-proof stainless steel have a protective clear coating that makes them smudge-proof. Unfortunately, you can’t truly remove a scratch on this surface without also removing that special coating. Your best bet is to let the scratch be or protect it with a small dab of clear nail polish.

You can risk the option of buffing out the scratches, and be very diligent in coating the area you buffed with oil to reduce the dullness. Just know that if you choose to buff it out, there’s a possibility that the spot won’t look the same as the rest of the appliance.

Yes, you can refinish appliances that reach high temperatures. You just need to use heat-resistant paints, so check the label to ensure your chosen paint is safe for appliances that get hot.

No. Once you apply refinishing oil, it will continue to seep into the wood, making it difficult or impossible to refinish over top of it. Since the product contains an oil that’s meant to penetrate existing finishes, almost anything you put on top of it will bring the previous layer of stain with it. If you plan to refinish your cabinets more than once, it’s a good idea to go with the traditional method of sanding before applying a new finish to the surface.

Regular cleaning, using appropriate products, and avoiding harsh chemicals help maintain the appearance of refinished appliances.
